10 poems of Tagore that capture the beauty of true love
Rabindranath Tagore is regarded as the greatest poet and writer in modern Indian literature. The Bengali poet was not only one of the greatest novelists and educators in India but also a Nobel Laureate for Literature (1913). In 1915, Tagore was awarded as the knighthood; however, he surrendered the award in 1919 in protest against the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, where British troops killed around 400 Indian activists.
Tagore experimented with many poetic forms in his writing but many of his works have lost in translations into other languages. Tagore was the first Indian to introduce psychological realism to his novels.
