About 717 terminated employees of 108 emergency Ambulance service of Uttarakhand are on strike against the incumbent government and its chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at Parade Ground, Dehradun sitting on Dharna and raising anti CM n anti BJP state government demanding their immediate reinstatement into jobs in the 108 Ambulance services where they had been serving for the last eleven years after it was introduced in the Uttarakhand Hill State by its then DG Dr. Anoop Nautiyal.

According to journalist Gunanand Jakhmola associated with Uttarjan Today a state news magazine, about 717 families of these arbitrarily terminated employees have literary come on road who have been devoid of salaries for the last several months leading to all of them having arrived on the brink of financial bankruptcy n disaster.

These arbitrarily terminated employees also include several women n unmarried girl employees.

Demonstrating under the scorching sun at Parade ground Dehradun majority of these contractual employees were always at loggerheads with the administration for various reasons reagarding their salries n other yerms n conditions, for the last eleven years but then they were in service, but unfortunately, now, all these 717 employees are relentlessly struggling under the scorching sun as unemployed strugglers not knowing what will ultimately be the fate of their school going children and other members of the families.

According to journalist Gunanand Jakhmola the reason behind the termination of the services of these struggling employees is due to the tranfer of the new contract of running n managing the 108 services to a new management who’ve arbitrarily terminated the their jobs without assigning any concrete legal reasons.

Nobody is coming to help them, even those hundreds of people who were helped by them at the time of crisis.

All these terminated employees are constrained to take on their struggle on their own with the new management aided and abetted by the BJP government led by its CM Trivendra Singh Rawat.

According to Gunanand Jakhmola’s facebook write up expressing solidarity with the struggling 717 employees of 108 emergency service of Uttarakhand this so valled zero tolerance government of Uttarakhand should have fixed a condition with the new management that the services of these employees would not be affected as it is primarily the state government’s moral and constitutional duty to safeguard the jobs of these 11 year old employees who’d served with 108 for more than a decade.

This attitude and step motherly treatment of the incumbent government n the alleged corrupt senior health department officials at the helm speaks of the fact as to how anti people they are.

The right thinking people and those believing in due justice for the poor n hapless would condemn this arbitrary practice in the strongest possible term.

It may be recalled that the reputation of the108 emergency health ambulance service is already at stake in Uttarakhand with patients allegedly n pregnant women delivering babies on the way due to the non availability of these services in the interior villages in time, especially, when required on emergency basis.

Such unforseen attitude of the govt will further add to the impending crisis. People are questioning, on the one hand the honourable PM had promised two crore jobs every year and on the other hand the BJP government is taking away the jobs of 717 employees after 11 years of service in 108 ambulance health department of Uttarakhand. What’s your take friends?
