The demise of Tom Alter leaves a huge vaccum in Bollywood

In the death of Tom Alter the country has lost an actor par excellence, a vivacious reader, writer, theatre n cultural activist, intellectual to the hilt and above all a greatest human being. The life of Tom Alter was full of mobility with creative actions even till his last who left behind about eighteen films in the pipeline. Originally an Indian born American Tom Alter was very well versed in Hindi, English and Urdu and understood Garhwali very well. A Mussouri born Uttarakhandi Tom Alter has to his credit hundreds of films, dramas, books, telivision serials, TV films n films of bollywood in which he acted outstandingly leaving a special mark on everybody’s mind and hearts. A gentleman to the hilt Padmshree, revolutionery actor and a vibrant human being who got the inspiration from the super star of the millenium RAJESH KHANNA to start his innings in films, LEGENDARY Tom Alters’ never die. They are always immortal and provide inspiration and encouragement to millions of their fans around the globe to move ahead with determination, guts and perseverence in their respective chosen fields of activities. Just imagine Tom’ s father came to India, Lahore in 1919 and leaving behind his parents left for India during the partition of 1947. He settles in Saharanpur and then to Rajgarh between Dehradun and Mussourie, to finally settle in Mussourie where legendary Tom Alter was born on September 1950 to finally rise on Indian horizons and then sleep for ever leaving his millions of fans, well wishers and dear and near ones in the state of shock, anguish and bereavement after his long though confined hectic n creative innings of 67 years. Long live Tom. Good bye.
