As the elections come nearer Arvind Kejrival to sit on hunger strike from 1st March in Delhi demanding separate statehood

The chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal who is always at loggerheads with the Bhartiya Janata Party as well as the Congress Party trying to go alone in all the 7 seats of Delhi blaming the Congress leadership of not alligning with his party in seat adjustments to defeat the BJP is likely to sit on indefinite hungerstrike from first of March in Delhi renewing his previous demand of granting full fledged statehood to Delhi.

Chief minister Arvind Kejrival’s grudge is : he is not able to work independently n implement pro people decisions in view of not having the full fledged independent n autonomous powers in Delhi despite having achieved a historic majority of 67 MLAs out of total 70 in the state assembly.

The national capital territory of Delhi is to go to polls in the starting months of 2020 after the general elections, slated to take place after two n a half months and AAP chief Arvind Kejrival is working hard to ensure that his party wins in both the general as well as the state polls hands down, forgetting that there always exists an anti incumbency factor after ruling in state or centre, even if it for one term. The case in point is of Rajasthan where the Vasundhara Rao government lost to the Congress party after five years’ rule .

However, AAP has work tremendously well on health, education, water, electricity n unauthorised colonies’ fronts and is quite sure of acknowledging the overall support of the lower middle class n people of the lowest ebb in Delhi which account for more than fifty percent of the total vote bank of the state capital.

The Delhi CM made the announcement today in the Delhi secretariat while speaking to the press about sitting on hunger strike from first March demanding full fledge statehood for Delhi. At present Delhi is NCT n is devoid of land, revenue n police.

Arvind Kejrival has already started his poll campaign in Delhi since two months ago and has already named the AAP’sparliamentary campaign heads in all the seven constituencies of Delhi having already declared the New Delhi n outer Delhi seats’ candidates.

The party needs lot of funds n according to the sources AAP is allegedly eying on rich candidates who can healthily contribute to the party financially, presently devoid of enough funds as compared to Congress n mighty BJP.

In order to elicit the voters support n sympathy, AAP chief is dwelling in various populist measures. In the recently held campaign meetings in outer Delhi, AAP’s national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival while exhorting the Delhi voters to vote for AAP pledged that if his party comes to power again and wins on all the seven parliamentary seats of Delhi getting full fledged statehood, he will provide pukka houses to each n every family of Delhi within a maximum span of ten years.

It may be recalled that Aam Admi Party has lost the company of important leaders like senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, eminent psephologist Dr. Yogendra Yadav, , senior journalists Asutosh , Ashish Khaitaan also chairman of the Delhi Dialogue Commission, former minister Kapil Mishra, Professor Anand Kumar of JNU n several others who have been training guns against him off n on. The newly formed Swaraj India Party is the outcome as a result of the rebels coming out of Aam Aadmi Party accusing Kejrival of authoritarianism n lack of inner party democracy within AAP.

The Congress Party led by the former Delhi CM Shiela Dikshit who was earlier in favour of a tie up with AAP while Ajay Maken was the Delhi state Congress president is now in no mood to establish a pre poll understanding with AAP on seat sharing in Delhi as AAP is not conceding more than two seats to Congress.

Sounds hypocritical and ridiculous that on the one hand all the anti BJP opposition parties are talking so much of forming the grand national alliance to formidably defeat the BJP at the husting to avoid the division of opposition votes, in Delhi the Congress n AAP are not able to unite for merely seven seats.

There had been incessant demands by both the BJP and Congress for full fledged statehood of Delhi and it had been the main point of the menifestoes of all the political parties since decades, but after achieving power, both BJP n Congress had backed out thus betraying the peoples’ trust.

When the BJP was at the centre during Vajpayees’ govt the proposal was kept at bay n when the Congress was in power at the centre during Shiela Dikshit’s regime in Delhi it was’nt touched at all as the fact of the matter is, the Delhi police is being used majorly in the security of the VIPs n VVIPs n is under the central government.

If Delhi is accorded a full fledged status the VIP security to all the union ministers n government officials etc can be withdrawn at the whims and fancies of the government which will rule Delhi. There are several other hiccups, financial n political. The centre would never part with the law n order with Delhi state.

Hence the full fledged statehood seems to be a distinct possibility. Kejrival’s sitting on hunger strike demanding full fledged statehood to Delhi is nothing but NAKKAARKHANE MEIN TUNTI KI AAVAAZ”, as Delhi is being ruled by BJP led NDA which will never ever acede to his demands.
