The failure of the pre poll alliance between the Congress and Aam Admi Party in Delhi at the instance of the Congress party has send one clear message across the country that political vested interests are more dear to it than the main aim of unitedly fighting the saffron party BJP at the hustings for which the formula of the grand alliance is being formulated at the national level.

Sounds ironical that on the one hand the Congress party being the largest n the most influential national party of the country on the one hand talks so much of forming n united mahagathbandhan to strongly n descisively defeat the BJP n the Modi juggernaut in fails to form an alliance with the AAM Admi Party in Delhi despite the hard fact that the majority of its vote bank share has been shifted to AAP n the Bhartiya Janata Party is still a formidable force in the capital with its 36% vote share still intact n also likely to enhance in view of the revent wave of nationalism in the country after the recent air strikes against the JEM terror camps in Pakistan n the safe return of wing commander Abhimanyu in just two days after being in the captivity of Pakistan.

The Congress Party has also been sidelined in Uttar Pradesh by the BSP SP alliance, the largest state where it was being given merely 9 seats. Both BSP n SP are the significant part of the mahagathbandhan.

Sources reveal that theformer Delhi CM n the DPCC chief Shiela Dikshit has alongwith other state leaders have outrightly rejected an Alliance with Aam Admi Party citing reasons of AAP chief Arvind Kejrival’s anti Congress stance and arrogance.

In a meeting held with the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, the Delhi chief Shila Dikshit, former president n MP Jai Prakash Aggrawal, Arvinder Singh Lovely, former Delhi speaker Yoganand Shastri etc had outrightly opposed the alliance with AAP saying that if the Congress fights against BJP in Delhi in alliance with Kejrival’s party not only will it loose its total political ground in Delhi but will also draw a sorry figure in the eyes of Delhi electorates as a party with crutches depending on AAP’s support.

Moreover, they also accused AAP convenor n Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival n other leaders of bad mouthing against Congress.

However, the former Delhi chief n union minister Ajay Maken who was earlier opposed to any alliance with AAP while he was the Delhi Congress president was surprisingly favouring a pact with AAP saying that if BJP has to be defeated Congress party should definitely execute the pre poll alliance with AAP strongly rejected by the Shiela Dikshit lobby.

It may be recalled that in the recent all party meeting held in Delhi in the aftermath of the Pulwama developments the West Bengal CM Mamata Bannerjee and NCP president Sharad Pawar had asked Rahul Gandhi to go for the pact with AAP in Delhi.

Rahul Gandhi has then convened the meeting of all the Delhi Congress leaders to discuss on this possibility. However, he was compelled to concede the Delhi Congress leaders’ advice to go alone as all of them favoured so.

Now there will be a three corned contest in Delhi in the forthcoming parliamentary election viz BJP, AAP n Congress. The Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival is badly annoyed with the Congress party’s decision and had accused both Congress n BJP of clandestinely collaborating to defeat the Aam Admi Party in Delhi.

In his persnal twitter handle Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival has tweeted: At a time when the whole country wants to defeat Modi Shah duo, Congress is helping BJP by splitting the anti BJP vote. Rumours are that Congress has some secret understanding with BJP. Delhi is ready to fight against the Congress BJP alliance. People will defeat this unholy alliance.
