Om Puri passes away of heart attack

Veteran actor Om Puri who was a great actor died at his residence on Friday morning after a heart attack

He was among the best actor in the parallel cinema and he also acted in various Bollywood and Hollywood movies.

He was 6 year old and earned Padma Shri award which is the country’s fourth highest civilian award in 1990.

The news of his death was spread like a wild fire in the Bollywood and immediately became viral.

Akshay Kumar, Anupem Kher, Javed Akhtat and Karan Johar and almost all the Bollywood celebrities have condole his death.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted his condolences over his demise and recalled his long career in the films and theatre.

He was born in a Punjabi family in Haryana and graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Later he graduated from National School of Drama in 1973, where Naseeruddin Shah was also his colleague student.

He started his career by working in a Marathi film called Gashiram Kotwal.

He has acted in many great movies of parallel cinema along with mainstream movies and not just Indian movies he also acted in some Pakistani, Hollywood and British movies and earned International fame.
