The verbal duels between West Bengal chief minister and TMC chief Mamata Bannerjee and the prime minister Narendra Modi has crossed all limits.

The entire television channels n print media are leaving no stone unturned to hype these extreme verbal duels to raise their TRP and so are the workers n leades of both BJP n TMC busy in actually translating them into actions by way of muscle fights, hurling bombs at each other, pelting stones, using abusive languages n what not , thus making West Bengal literally a battle ground killing and severely injuring the innocents.

While BJP leaders accuse Mamata Bannerjee and the Trinamul Congress of misusing the state machinery and police of torturing, arresting and thrashing the BJP electorates n workers for terrorising the saffron sapporters to enable them stay out of polling booths, the TMC is accusing the prime minister Narendra Modi n the union government of misusing the EC n central paramilitary forces to threaten the TMC worker n voters n create a riotous situation in the state.

Sounds ironical that while on the one hand , just a few days ago in an interview to a TV channel Prime minister Narendra Modi had in a light mood appreciated the gesture of West Bengal CM for sending him colourful Kurtas and special delicious sweets purchased by her personally every year, on the other hand Mrs Bannerjee says that she will send the Rasgullas of mud to Modi. She even went to the extent of publicly pledging to take every inch of revenge from Narendra Modi if she gets an opportunity in the near future. She even went to the extent of allegedly slapping the prime minister in the name of protecting democracy. She meant slap of democracy says her supporters.

Furious Mamata is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that BJP is held responsible for its every act of fanning communalism in West Bengal in the name of creating a vertical divide between the Hindus and Muslims.

Prime minister Modi on his part pronounces Mamata as a dictator, speed breaker Didi who is hell bent upon destroying democracy, torturing n allegedly getting the BJP workers arrested n killed n smothering free speech in West Bengal.

Replying to Mamata’s threat of slapping her n sending him the mud rasgullahs, priminister Modi said he is jubilantly waiting for those mud rasgullah and that he will also accept her slap with honour as her blessings.

On the other hand the BSP chief Mayawati has issued a highly derogatory remark against prime minister Narendra Modi saying that the PM is anti women as he has even deserted his wife for the sake of achieving his political ambitions.

She was responding to PM Narendra Modi’s accusations against her in connection with the rape of a dalit girl in Alwar.

Mr. Modi accused BJP supremo Mayawati of being hypocritical, always shedding crocodile tears to falsely show her concern for the rape of a dalit girl in Alwar. Had she been honest she should have withdrawn her party’s support from the Congress government in Rajasthan? The prime minister Narendra Modi asked why is she reluctant to withdraw support n destabilise the Ashok Gehlot government, if she is really serious ? The BJP’ spokesperson and the union defence minister Dr. Nirmala Sitaram strongly slammed Mayawati for her shameful remarks against prime minister Narendra Modi and said that she is issuing such derogatory statements as she is badly frustrated and apprehensive of losing the elections in UP.

It may be recalled that certain parliamentary constituencies of West Bengal on May 12th had witnessed tremendous violence and hurling of bombs n stones on the cars, political workers, voters n paramilitary jawans including the BJP candidate Bharti Ghosh who was constrained to seek refuge at a Kali temple.

As many as 15 vehicles were completely damaged and fifteen people got arrested in this violence. The clashes led to severe injuries of 26 people including workers of both of TMC and BJP. The areas where these violent clashes occured were Jhargram and East Midnapore districts. According to the latest news reports Mamta Bannerjee has cancelled Amit Shah’s rally in Bengal.
