Major Indian IT firms have started laying off thousands of employees

The Indian IT sector is again having major setback and has already started the layoff process.

The major effected IT companies who are laying off are Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Infosys and Cognizant.

The IT sector has always been the earner for the country but at the same time it gets effected badly from the International clients and this time it is happening because most of the processes are being automated and the use of artificial intelligence is responsible for Visa tightening regulations.

It is expected that the mid-level employees who have about 10 to 15 years of experience and almost settled in their professional and personal lives.

Over a decade the IT sector has been going on a slower path whereas the global firms have started shifting their focus to newer areas like digital and cloud which has the need to fix the engineers to engage with clients instead of working in some other location.

The automation in IT field is increasing day by day which is cheap and easy to maintain and due to this reason it is eating up the IT sector jobs.

The big IT Company Tec Mahindra has already laid off thousands of employees who reached their mi-career and now sitting at home with very few career options as they do not have any other skills to get a good job.

But the spokesperson of Tec Mahindra has told that just like a regular activity to weeding out bottom performers every year this time also they done the regular exercise.

Even Wipro has also laid off many employees which they tagged as non-performers. However the exact number of employees laid off by Wipro is still not confirmed and the company made a statement in which the spokesperson claimed that it undertakes a rigorous performance appraisal process on a regular basis to align their workforce with the business objectives and their strategic priorities to fulfill the requirements of the clients.
