The two states of the country are in political turmoil after the formation of the BJP led National Democratic Alliance government at the centre badly defeating the Congress-led grand alliance at the hustings.
And these two states are Karnataka and Union Territory Goa.
While in Karnataka about sixteen Congress and JD( S) state lawmakers including an independent, have submitted their resignation letters to the speaker,  in Goa out of 15 Congress legislatures 10 have joined the BJP bandwagon thus enhancing the sure sort chances of the saffron party forming the governments in both the states.
This drama unfolded when the clear picture came out by yesterday evening.
About 13 MLAs of Congress and JD ( S) had been confining themselves in a hotel in Mumbai n thereafter in Goa and then back to Mumbai accusing the Karnataka speaker of not accepting their resignations while two more Congress MLAs resigned yesterday including a lone minister earlier supporting the Congress JD( S) government.
He too has extended his support for BJP with two other Congress lawmakers who resigned yesterday.
Similarly in Goa 10 MLAs of Congress who’d extended their support to BJP now, giving it an absolute majority in the assembly have reduced the Congress strength to the minority.
Yesterday, the Maharashtra Police detained S. Shiv Kumar MLA in Mumbai who was not allowed to meet the dissidents in the hotel.
Similarly, the Congress leaders Sanjay Nirupam, Milind Deora and Wasim Ahmed too were detained as they were protesting against the BJP ‘s undemocratic and unconstitutional manipulations to subvert democracy in Karnataka and Goa ruled by the opposition parties, the charge denied by union defence minister in the Lok Sabha.
In Bengaluru, too former PM and JD ( S ) veteran H. D. Devegowda and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad were detained for protesting outside the governor’s residence.
According to the latest tally the Congress JD( S), combine’s strength has now been reduced to mere 102 where as the BJP with the individual strength of 105 plus two independents’ support has gone up to 107, enough to form the government.
These figures have given BJP a clear advantage of forming their governments in both the states viz Karnataka and Goa.
In Goa, the anti-defection law will not be applicable on the defected Congress MLAs as they are in two-thirds majority while in Karnataka the membership of the dissidents will not remain any more.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has accused BJP of subverting the democratic institutions on Karnataka and Goa by engineering large scale defections and destabilising the democratically elected governments.

Congress is completely disorganised and the ground level workers have lost faith in the Gandhi family . Its very shameful to directly blame the workers while the family completely fails to look into the ground reality and tries to pass on the buck.
Congress will split in the coming time if the party does not mend its ways…
Whats the use of blaming bjp when Kumarswami has to operate from 5 star hotels due to non stop pressure from congress and every few days he is crying on camera. Siddharamaya is greedy for power and all this mess in congress is because of him
    God bless Karnataka
