Another chopper crash lands near Tikochi, Arakot, Uttarkashi

Just three days, a chopper of a private company hired by the Uttarakhand government to supply emergency relief materials hit the apple trolley cable and crashed over Uttarkashi’s Arakot village area.

It finally exploded in which the pilot, co-pilot and a helper hailing from Uttarkashi were killed instantaneously. The badly burnt bodies were retrieved from a gorge after great difficulties by the SDRF team with the help of the locals and police.

Another helicopter carrying relief materials for the natural calamity hit victims of Uttarkashi villages yesterday crash-landed near the Tikochi village. However, all the crew members including the pilot are safe, hale and hearty. The commanding dexterity of the pilot finally led to the safe landing of the chopper. It’s indeed the towering efforts of these courageous pilots who are supplying rations, clothing, water, and medicines to the calamity hit people of Uttarakhand despite inclement weather conditions. They deserve the fullest appreciation.
