CEO of Patanjali Acharya Balkrishna admitted in AIIMS

The close associate of Ramdev and the Chief Executive Officer of Patanjali, Acharya Balkrisha was in the media, the reason being he was hospitalised a day ago in a precarious condition for an extremely abnormal health condition as it was reported that he was poisoned by one of the visiting devotees of Patanjali with a sweet laced with poison.

After adequate treatment he was released from the hospital, however, after certain physical complications, Acharya Balkrishna was again admitted in AIIMS, Rishikesh.

The chief minister of Uttarakhand had visited the hospital to know about the well being of the Acharya. However, after proper examinations, he was released yesterday.

As per the medical bulletin issued from AIIMS, Rishikesh Medical Superintendent Dr. Brahm Prakash, patient Acharya Balkrishna was brought to AIIMS, Rishikesh, Emergency ward in altered conscious level on the 23rd August. Altered consciousness means that a patient can’t recognize or remember his surroundings and the people he or she knows.

However, after proper medication, he seems to be fit now. On examination, his BP, Pulse Rate, SPO, RBS were within normal limit. the bulletin adds that the patient was evaluated by Cardiologists, Neurologists, and General Physicians at the time of arrival. His ECG, Screening Echo and RBS were within normal limits. After the Neurological screening and MRI of the brain, the results were found to be normal.

However he was later on shifted to the Department of critical care, Medicine for further treatment. Finally, though he appeared exhausted but was stable from the point of view of all the normal parameters of BP, Pulse, Respiratory Rate, Blood Sugar Electrolytes, MRI and ECG.

The point is why was the attempt made to poison him, especially when he is not holding any political position. An investigation in this regard needs to be carried out.
