As per Mahanirvana Tantra: “Just as all colors disappear in black, so all names and forms disappear in her”. Maa Kali, originated from Ma Durga

The ferocious deity was born to demolish all the evil power. The Goddess is believed to be originated from the forehead or brow of Goddess Durga.

She is a great protector

The Goddess is often considered as most loving and the kindest of all the Hindu goddesses, as she is regarded as the Mother of the whole Universe. And because of her dreadful form and fury, she is also often considered as a great protector of her devotees.

Significance of Maa Kaali’s four hands

The two hands of the deity rise to destroy and demolish the demons, while her other two hands bless her devotees. So, basically the two hands of the goddess symbolize destruction and demolishment of evil powers and the other two symbolizes her love towards her children.
