Precautions for avoiding corona or flu viruses
1. Avoid crowded places, especially the ones that have central air conditioning like malls and cinema halls.
2. Diligently follow basic hygiene. Wash your hands often. Avoid sanitizers, they cause more harm than good.
3. Avoid exertion and stress. You ‘ll be surprised how quickly your employer will replace you if you die.
4. Eat home-cooked healthy meals. Avoid eating from hotels, completely stay off-street food.
5. Make sure you drink enough water, 2-3 litres a day for a sedentary lifestyle and about 7 litres for people with an active lifestyle.
6. Avoid sudden temperature changes. The body tends to go in a shock if you cool it rapidly or the temperature increases rapidly.
7. Add multivitamins, especially vitamin C to your list of supplements.
8. Avoid trying to be your own doctor by using Google. Consult a doctor in case fever/cough/cold doesn’t subside after 3 days of rest and home remedies.
9. Cut your nails short
10. Ola Uber rides to be kept to a minimum. Preferably keep the windows open while using a cab. Cab ACs harbour a lot of pathogens due to lack of proper maintenance and cleaning.
11. Buy a good pollution mask, use it.
12. Get your home AC serviced. Always keep it at 25c.
13. Sweep and mop your house with Lizol daily.
14. Use a good cleansing soap. Dove/Pears is ineffective during summers. Neem soaps would be better in these times
15. Eat, Sleep and Exercise every day on time.
16. Avoid parties and overloading on Alcohol, it puts a burden on your body and might cause a breach in your immune system.
17. Use sunscreen, sunglasses, scarves, caps while venturing out in summers
18. Carry a bottle of water with you every time you step out, the human body is 70% water, if you get dehydrated, chances of falling sick increase exponentially. (Always keep a sachet of electrolytes (electral/enerzal) at home.
19. If you suffer from high blood pressure, take your meds diligently.
20. There is only one sure cure for diabetes; work out
21. Spend time with your loved ones, they will be the ones beside you when you are unwell.
