The actor turned politician and the BJP member of parliament from Patna, Bihar who’d also been the union Health minister during prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure seems to be too annoyed with prime minister Narendra Modi though he had stood solidly behind the NDA government during the no confidence motion.

A friend, follower and desciple of the veteran BJP leader and member of the BJP Marg Darshak Mandal L. K. Advani, the flamboyant and eloquent MP from Bihar catagorically says that the BJP high command and the prime minister, not mentioning his name should rectify their all the previous wrongs and go to veteran leaders like LK Advani and Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi n others requesting them to bless and guide the party organisation so as to regain the lost confidence amongst the Dalits, backwards, down troddens and the minorities of the country in the name of mob lynchings and other deficiencies.

In an exclusive interview to NDTV the news channel considered to be the bete noire of the prime minister and the NDA government’s policies and style of functioning, fearless and outspoken Shatrughan Sinha said that the non BJP opposition if unites credibly may pose a huge challenge to the present BJP lesdership and the government in 2019 unless the party leadership does not rectify its faults and deficiencies with unity and positivity as the recent defeats at the hustings in the byelections in Uttar Pradesh viz Phulpur, Gorakhpur and Kairana and in other parts of the country have proved beyond doubt that the saffron party is in a bad shape and needs immediate resurrection.

Though an MP of Bhartiya Janata Party from Patna the former union minister have been extremely critical of prime minister Narendra Modi since he assumed the top slot of the country and had been posting tweets every now and then criticizing the latter inviting thousands of likes, comments and retweets on his twitter account.

Prasing the former Prime minister late Indira Gandhi whom the then Jan Sangh and the opposition leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee pronounced as Goddess Durga for dividing Pakistan and carving out an Independent Bangladesh , Shatrughan Sinha said that she never propagated her historic deed in 1971 to derive political advantage as was done after the recent surgical strikes by Prime minister Modi and the BJP which ( surgical strikes) must have been initiated earlier also during Indira’s, Rajiv’s and Dr. Manmohan Singh’s tenure  but never publiscised as being done now by putting banners and posters in self praise. after all what’s the need of all this, he questions? After all why this undue vast publicity now.

We have tremendous faith in our army and its valour and we respect n salute them for these surgical strikes but issuing or seeking certificate from the people for political gains is totally uncalled for.

Shatrughan Singh said: he always stood for the truth and since the party stands for democracy, free speech and expression I always raise my voice within the party not as a hostile leader but to show a constructive path or way to those leaders who are going on the wrong direction and doing things not good for the party and its future prospects.

On being asked that does his anti party out bursts not amount to his anti party actions  and is he not afraid of desciplinery actions by the party high ups, Shatrughan Sinha replied: I always stand for the truth and if the party leadership thinks : I am going against them or doing them any harm they can get rid of me. They are free to initoate action.

I would welcome it and never challenge them. Sinha was catagorical and emphatic in saying that the party has never taken his services in any of the state elections whether they were the elections of Gujarat, UP, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and even in Bihar from where he primarily belongs despite the fact that his one of the public meetings in Varanasi saw such a massive crowd of people that it was compared with the rally held by the prime minister recently.

The point was that his value as a crowd puller leader and a star campaigner as valued earlier during Vajpayee’s tenure is under question in the saffron party, now ? But it’s up to them to do so. As far as I am concerned I will continue to raise my voice within party forums as inner party democracy permits it.

How badly is Shatrughan Sinha disenchanted with the prime minister can be gauged from the fact that in a tweet on prime minister Narendra Modi’s three day tour of the African countries after the no confidence motion the former tweeted making an unambiguous mockery : Dear Sir, As usual, parliament is in session. You are on a three nation African tour. Heavens would’nt have fallen if you’d left after the session.

You could have still visited some of the nations left on the globe. Your visit to Rwanda is howevet first by an Indian PM. Congrats. This tweet acknowledged about nine thousand likes and thousands of comments and retweets as well.

On the recent incident of a mob lynching in Alwar Rajasthan too, Sinha tweeted saying that since there are rumours of the hands of some of the party workers involved in these horrific lynchings, the PM should have condemned it, even from the foreign land. Bit, sir you have not issued a single word.

The interview can be viewed in the NDTV any time. It may be recalled that the most dynamic, fearless and eloquent actor turned former minister n MP Sinha had been extremely outspoken and against the prime minister’s and party’s stand on most of the occassions but it sounds surprising as to why he is being tolerated and encouraged to be anti party, all the time.
