23rd October, the hyundai santro 2018 launch date, the car finally launched in India. Hyundai santro 2018 price, starting from RS. 3.89 lakh going all the way up to RS. 5.46 lakh. The new Santro is available across five variants for the petrol manual i.e., D- Lite, Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta. The CNG manual version and the petrol AMT version gets two variants each- the mid-spec Magna and the very well equipped Sportz. As of now, there will not be a Hyundai Santro diesel version available.

Hyundai Santro Exterior
The new Santro packs a sharper Design that is in accordance with the design direction adopted by all modern day Hyundai’s. Upfront, it gets the cascading grille as also sweptback headlamps. Above this setup are the upward sweeping angular headlamps. The new Santro is available only with a set of 14 inch steel wheels with wheel covers and there are no alloy wheels on offer, even on the top of the line Asta trim. There are ORVMs with LED turn indicators and a Honda BR-V like kink which increases the glass area on the rear door windows.

Coming to the hyundai santro 2018, one of the biggest plus points are the rear AC vents. The other big update is the addition of a a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system which support both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a rearview camera. Other features includes electric power steering, rear washer and wiper, electrically adjustable ORVMs and reverse parking sensors. For safety, the Santro comes equipped with driver’s airbag along with ABS and EBD as standard across the variant lineup, while the Asta variant gets an additional passenger airbag as well.
Hyundai Santro performance
For the Santro, Hyundai has revived it’s 1.1 liter Epsilon engine. You get to choose between petrol and CNG powered Santro, and Hyundai is available with 5 speed AMT as well. The 4-cyl petrol engine produces 69 PS of power and 99Nm of torque. The manufacturer is also offering a factory fitted CNG kit. This variant puts out 59PS/84Nm. Hyundai santro mileage is 20.3 kmpl for the petrol and 30.48 km/kg for the CNG versions.
Verdict
The new Hyundai Santro, manages to deliver a lot that’s new for the segment. Besides offering a well-loaded features list, it has managed to give better in terms of interior quality. Hyundai Santro price is affordable and it the car is capable of giving the buyers a premium car feeling. If you are looking to buy a well equipped, easy to drive and comfortable family car, the new Hyundai Santro is well is a good choice.
