The way, politics of Delhi is moving ahead these days makes all of us give a serious rethinking about the indesciplined or rogue politicians of Delhi whether they belong to AAP or the Bhartiya Janata Party, making mockery of themselves and their ridiculous actions.

The point in reference is the inauguration ceremony of the long awaited assymmetrical highest bridge in the country, one of the best architectural marvel of the present times started by the then Congress government led by Shiela Dikshit with the foundation stone having been laid in 2014 and finally completed in 2018 after lots of hiccups, inaugurated by the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, amid lots of controversy amounting to allegedly forcibly pushing back of the East Delhi MP and Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari by one of the AAP lawmakers claiming that had he not pushed him back the former would have attacked the CM who was too angry and furious for not having been invited in the inauguration ceremony.

Sounds shocking and ironical, as well?

The point here is, despite the hard fact that the Signature bridge has been built by the Delhi state government , perhaps by its PWD department but one should not forget the fact that the protocol demands that the area MP, MLA n even if need be the councillor are duly invited for participation in such inaugural functions and even the inauguration plate has to mention the name of the area MP alongwith the chief minister, the PWD minister and the area MLA and as such the forcible visit of the East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari was to certain extent justifiable and correct as he wanted to get himself noticed since he was’nt invited at the function by the AAP government.

However, there is no denying the fact that the BJP party and the government too has also in the recent part not invited Arvind Kejrival in some of the metro rail corporation’s inauguration functions’ despite the hard fact that he is the chief minister of the capital city and the protocol also demanded so.

So it was rather a tit for tat then who’s to be blame for such controversies n who not is a moot question ? However, what makes things worse and unethical is when any public representative is physically pushed or allegedly hit or insulted ? In a democracy, such indecencies and unethical acts does not behove well for the status of politicians or elected representatives on whom lies the basic responsibility to establish harmony, decency, morality and ethics in the socio political scenerio of the state or the country which is unfortunately badly missing these days with criminals holding constitutional positions and also being elected in parliament n state assemblies in good number.

Why don’t these politicians or political parties understand that it’s primarily the public exchequers’ tax payer money which is being incurred on developmental works whether they are construction of bridges, metro rails or other pro people projects. Being the duly elected public representatives it is their bounden duty to serve the masses and it’s no obligation on them. They are in essence the peoples’ servants then what’s a big deal ?

Since the MPs, MLAs or the corporators are not incurring their pocket money, then why is the curiosity to demean each other on party lines or to claim political credit for various works and make mockery of themselves in the media and amongst the people. YE PUBLIC HAI YE SAB JAANTI HAI ANDAR KYA BAHAR KYA HAI, SAB PEHCHASNTI HAI.

The voters of the country know everything in this hi tech n digital world as to who has executed the development and who is trying derive undue mileage out of such inaugurations or protests at the site.

Whether it’s Delhi CM Arvind kejrival or the East Delhi MP n Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, both of them must avoid such tactics of chief popularity and publicity and try to set the best examples of decency and mutual accord in the socio political life in the near future instead of becoming subject of mockery and ridicule in the media. What’s your take friends?
