A new film on enhanced migration from Uttarakhand titled Mangal in the offing

A new multicoloured feature film titled MANGAL based on the problem of immense migration from the hills of Uttarakhand to towns, cities and metropolises would be coming on silver screen with its shooting in progress in various splendid locations of Uttarakhand.

The script of the movie has been written by eminent literateur and hindi writer who was also the secretary of Delhi Hidi and Bhojpuri Academy Dr. Harisuman Bisht.

The inauguration ” Muhurat” of the film was done by the chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat in Delhi just a few days ago.

The movie would be initially shot in Chapawat and its surrounding areas covering the serene beauty of the Uttarakhand Himalayas.

Several parts of the movie Mangal have already been shot in the capital Delhi.

The main lead of the film in the character of hero Mangal is being played by Dev Dhami, a prominent n celebrated young actor of Uttarakhand.

According to the script of the movie which decisively highlights the agony of the inhabitants of the hills of Uttarakhand finally compelling them to migrate to plains for survival, the hero MANGAL wants to live and earn meagrely in his village but due to the pressure and insistence of his family members he is constrained to serve as a watchman in Delhi to earn livelyhood.

However, after some time instead of serving in Delhi and earning a meagre salary, Mangal prefers to repatriate to his village and dedicates his life in organic farming thus setting a unique and outstanding example as an economically well off and self reliant farmer.

This reverse migration of his from Delhi to his native village and proving himself to be a successful farmer earning handsomely through organic farming in his village rather than earning a meagre salary in Delhi sends across a positive message inspiring others to repatriate to their villages and make them lively.

The chief minister of Uttarakhand has by inaugurating the movie by way of8 clicking its Mahurat shot has accorded the film maker and its artist his blessings and support for this noble and novel endeavour of writer Dr. Harisuman Bisht and Dev Dhami, hero of the movie.

The major portion of the movie will be shot at tea garden, Abbot Mount and Pithoragarh.

The main lead of the movie, hero Dev Dhami and director Kamal Mehta had earlier made the film called “Cholyar” which was quite popular in Uttarakhand.

The movie Mangal is being directed by popular director from Mumbai D. O. P. Kamal Mehta and produced by Jatinder Bhatti.

The other actors of the movie are : heroine Shivakshi Joshi, Prerna Rawat , Satendra Farendia etc.

The chief executive producer of the film is Mr. Rautela while the executive producer is Sunil Mittal. Mr Pravin Deopa is the production controller of the movie. The songs have been sung by Uttarakhand’s prominent singer Satendra Farendia.

The movie’s two songs ” Mai yehra Pahadi” and ” Aa meri Baansuriya” are quite interesting and popular in Uttarakhand. Wishing the feature film MANGAL and its entire unit all the very best.
