Politicians while in hectic campaigning n crowded road shows usually never care about what is happening behind them and are busy seeking support for their candidates or themselves, come what may.

But the Congress president Rahul Gandhi n Priyanka in Wayanad, Kerala showed an exemplary feat when he genuinely became a good samaritan helping the three journalists ( a video cameraman of ANI also) when they fell down at a barricade due to heavy rush while covering the roadshow of Rahul Priyanka duo who were waiving at the immense crowd of party supporters, passers by n the curious onlookers after filing of the nomination papers.

As per the news pouring in from the southern state, the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi who was busy in the roadshow after the filing of the nomination papers in Wayanad today alongwith sister Priyanka, general secretary AICC n incharge of eastern UP saw the three journalists covering his road show having fallen down on the police barricades due to the heavy rush n one of them severely injured.

On seeing this the Congress chief Rahul n sister Priyanka, immediately got down from the tempo and helped the ANI’s video journalist and two others and immediately shifted them in an ambulance to the nearest hospital, not caring for his roadshow.

This noble action n kind gesture of Rahul Gandhi has been appreciated by one and all.

After properly sending them to the hospital n ensuring that things are under control, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi n sister Priyanka resumed their roadshow which was a huge sucesss.

This is not the first instance of Rahul becoming a good samaritan to help the injured journos. On 27th March as well, while Rahul Gandhi was going for a meeting in New Delhi, he saw an injured journalist on the way. Rahul got down from his vehicle and literally held the injured head of the scribe, covering the bleeding wound with his palm.

He got the injured journalist addmitted in AIIMS. The name of the journo was Rajendra Vyas who hailed from Rajasthan.

Rahul’s sister too helped an injured Congress worker named Sonkar in Ayodhya while she was campaigning for Congress candidate.

According to the news reports while desperate Vishal Sonkar was presenting Priyanka the portrait of her grandmother Indira Gandhi, Sonkar got himself injured with the glass splinters. The frame of the portrait broke n its splinters hurt the presenter.

Priyanka immediately applied ointment on his forehead injuries and lateron shifted him to hospital in the ambulance accompanying her entourage.

It may be recalled that Congress president Rahul Gandhi is contesting from two parliamentary constituencies viz Amethi n Wayanad in Kerala.

The Congress leaders and supporters have pressurised Rahul Gandhi to contest from South as well n the Gandhi family scion accepted the request.

But the BJP is making mockery of Rahul contesting from South saying that he’s afraid of losing from Amethi due to the Modi factor n the massive BJP undercurrent n has therefore taken political refuge in the South as well.

It may be recalled that Kerala is the strong bastion of Congress n the Left Democratic Front government where both the parties repeat consecutively after every five year.

The BJP chief Amit Shah has tried to make inroads in this left n Congress bastion by raisin the Sabrimala issue against the Supreme Court judgement to polarise the Hindu votes by raking this sensitive issue repeatedly with PM Modi n BJP Supremo Amit Shah holding good number of meetings in the state accusing the left front cadres of allegedly murdiring the RSS volunteers n the govt protecting the culprits.

Today’s road show of Rahul n Priyanka Gandhi was an outstanding success with hundreds of thousands of Congress supporters n common masses in attendence to the utter surprise, dismay and shock of the opposition BJP.
