Ahmed Patel writes to HM, asks him to institute an impartial inquiry to bring real culprit to justice
After the incessant victories of BJP in several states after it assumed power with more than absolute majority at the centre, it is for the first time that in the context of Gujarat elections it felt imbalanced in terms of confidence politically, particularly after the hectic campaigning of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his largely attended public meetings. Rahul’s vociferous tirade against BJP and its central and state leadership including the prime minister of the country has compelled the state chief minister Rupani to launch a very serious tirade against Congress Party and its chief Sonia Gandhi’s political Secretary and RS MP Ahmed Patel indirectly terming him as the leader supporting anti India ISIS terrorist who once served in a Gujarat hospital as a technician of which the latter was the Trustee.
However, the Congress party stood solidly behind Ahmed Patel and countered the BJP hands down blaming it for accusing Congress leader of baseless and fabricated charges after it’ s apprehensions of losing the Gujarat elections in view of Rahul Gandhi’s increasing influence amongst the electrates of Gujarat. Meanwhile highly perturbed by the baseless charges of the Gujarat Chief Minister Rupani the political secretary to the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Ahmed Patel shot a one and a half page letter to the union home minister Rajnath Singh demanding the guilty to be brought to justice irrespective of ideological or party affiliation. The letter states that the arrest of the ISIS fugitives pose a grave challenge to the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel as the people of Gujarat has a great history in believing in the principle of peaceful coexistence.
Anything that disturb the law and order eventually harm the merchantile ethos of Gujarat and hence deserved to be investigated with utmost gravity by competent law enforcing agencies. Matters of national security cannot be the prisoners of politics and niether should be reduced to baselessly maligning political opponents for petty electoral gains. This would be the greatest injustice, we would be doing in ourfight against terrorism. Ahmed Patel adds: Therefore , I find it extremely disturbing that the ruling party in Gujarat is vitiating the serious ongoing investigation just ahead of elections by making wild and unsbstantiated allegations.
As a member of parliament of India, who has taken the oath to uphold the sovereignity and the integrity of India, I call upon you (Home Minister) to take cognizanse of the matter as as the HM of India, instruct the relevant law enforcement agencies to take this investigation to its logical end in an impartial and logical manner which befits such a serious offence. Those guilty, irrespective of any faith or affiliation should be brought to justice. He finally concludes : Ahmed Patel’s unstinted support is with the government.
