Akhilesh and Mulayam fight for cycle symbol

The Month long turmoil in Samajwadi Party has at-least made one thing clear that party MLAs supports Akilesh Yadav and they want to see him as their leader. It was also proved when more than 200 MLAs supported him openly and also signed documents which stated that they want to take the lead and also takeover SP.

Now the two camps in SP are fighting for the cycle symbol which nonetheless looks like a battle. Akhilesh Yadav has already submitted documents to the election commission to prove that he has the majority of members and they are with him with full support.

But after Akhilesh Yadav submitted documents to the EC, Amar Singh alleged that he forged the signatures of members hence their authenticity is doubtful.

Amar Singh claimed that number of MLAs supporting him matters when a government has to be formed and not for party symbol.

Few days back supporters of Akhilesh Yadav took over SP offices in Lucknow and threw nameplated of Shivpal Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav but now these have been restored and offices have been restored and locked by the Mulayam Singh Yadav supporters.

The fight for the party symbol is getting interesting as Mulayam Singh Yadav would be coming to Delhi on Monday and would visit Election Commission to claim party symbol.

On the other hand Mulayam Singh is claiming that there is no dispute in the party, so where is the question of compromise.

It is also expected that Mulayam Singh Yadav camp will submit documents to the election commission on Monday as the EC has set the deadline for both the camps to submit documents before it and then it will be decided on which side the symbol should be allotted.

According to the sources Akhilesh Yadav submitted his documents on Saturday and according to them 90% support of the members is with him which includes legislators and delegates, including over 200 of the 229 MLAs and 56 of 68 MLCs.

Meanwhile Shivpal Yadav also met Akhilesh Yadav at Akhilesh’s residence and tried to find a compromise formula for possible patch up but all his efforts went in vain.

Even Ajam Khan met Mulayam Singh Yadav and tried to find a way so that they can be together again and asked Mulayam Singh Yadav to give three months to Akhilesh to prove himself but Mulayam Singh Yadav refused to agree.

Not just this Akhilesh also made it very clear that they want to do patch up then Amar Singh will not be allowed in the party which is not agreed by Mulayam Singh Yadav.
