All set for Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 ???

All set for 22nd July 2017?? The most awaited realty show Khatron ke Khiladi is back on Colors channel. This season, the show had been shot in Spain, one of the exotic sites for outdoor shoots. Although, Arjun Kapoor, the former host of the show has stepped down, Rohit Shetty is back for the eighth season of the celebrity reality show. According to the action film director, the upcoming show is high on entertainment quotient with the contestants like the winner of  Bigg Boss 10 Manveer Gurjar, Shibani Dandekar, Lopamudra Raut, Monica Dogra and Nia Sharma. The contestants list also includes popular television heartthrobs like Karan Wahi, Ravi Dubey, Rithvik Dhanjani and the beauties like Hina Khan and Shiny Doshi. We will also see the hip-hop star Shantanu Maheshwari on this show. As Shetty says, none of these contestants are skilled in stunts and here one had to really motivate them to perform the stunts. In movies, there are cuts, green screen, protection nets, cables and all the safety measures but here in the realty show there is nothing as such. Shetty had to motivate them all the time and at times he also had demonstrated them that the stunts can really happen.

As said, the entertainment factor is much higher in this season, the show will make the viewers stunned while watching the stunt acts, on the other hand, few funny acts will make them laugh as well. The film maker says few stunts were even funnier than his film Golmaal e.g. there was a stunt where Lopamudra and Geeta were performing tug of war on two buildings in Ronda city, Malaga, Spain. Geeta pulled the rope but Lopa refused to jump. Finally after one and half hours, Lopa jumped, but only when she was forcibly pushed down.

Shetty also said about one of the toughest tasks, a stunt with a bear and a lion and it is for the first time that these animals are included in the show. The stunt with the lion was really scary, it was also quite unpredictable. It was also tough to shoot with bear even though it was trained.

For the entire Khatron Ke Khiladi team, a normal day was waking up early at 4.30 – 5am and then travelling for almost two hours to reach the action site and then starting to prepare for the stunts. By the time the team packed up, it would be post 1am and after that the team would sleep for three to four hours only, Rohit said.
