Ashok Khade is one of the rare personalities that have transformed from extreme poverty to take the world in his stride.

His struggle began since childhood as his family of 6 would sleep on a hungry stomach.

Then, his father decided to get a better job. So he came down to Mumbai & became a cobbler.

Ashok strongly believed that education was the way out of their extreme poverty.

Ashok continued his studies at a govt school & somehow completed graduation despite all the hurdles. His brother was supportive throughout.

He decided to work as an apprentice in the dock & was offered training in ship designing & painting. From designing ships to being in the quality control dept, his career took off.

When he got an opportunity to visit Germany, he observed the world-famous German technology. He then realized his own potentials & got a clear understanding of his goal in life.

Back in India, he launched his own firm along with his brother which was named Das Offshore Engineering Pvt Ltd.

Today he is one of the biggest industrialists in India, having an annual turnover of Rs 500 crore & employs about 4500 people.

His company built Mumbai’s first skywalk & specializes in fabrication work on the offshore platform.
