Congress intensifies tirade against BJP on Pulwama issue after 7 days of lull
After a lull of seven days on account of the most tragic Pulwama attack the main opposition party of the country with merely 44 MPs in Lok Sabha having snatched three hindi heartland states from the ruling BJP is again ready with more ammunition to train its guns on prime minister Narendra Modi and the BJP led NDA at the centre.
While the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, prime minister Narendra Modi n BJP supremo Amit Shah were busy in their own political chores addressing public meetings, meeting foreign guests like Saudi Prince n Argentina PM as well as parting the grief with the Pulwama martyrs, special care was taken from both the sides till a week or so to ensure that no derogatory comments are issued against each other in connection with the nation’s security n Pulwama attack as nation’s safety, unity n integrity comes first then anything else.
But politics has its own parameters and when national elections are round the corner how can the parties struggling for power keep mum for longtime. Then there are TV channels too who under the guise of nationalism n TRP enhancement could not keep mum for long as they are always in search of stories with enough spice.
Today , a firebrand salvo from the Congress Party’s spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala against PM Modi has again opened the chapter of fault finding against the ruling party dispensation at the centre n its political CEO asking who is at fault if the ruling party at the centre n also in the state in the form of governor’s rule could not avert the fidayeen attack on 78 CRPF convoy in Avantipora, Pulwama thus resulting in the despicable killing( martydom) of 40 soldiers in the line of duty.
Surjewala questioned the intelligence failure of the J&K administration as well as of the centre and asked who is responsible for this utter failure to avert this massive tragedy ?
Addressing the press conference at the AICC headquarter Congress spokesperson while raising the newspaper clippings n the letter of the CRPF asked why was the permission not granted to the para military force n the Army to airlift the troopers asked for, quite in advance and how was it that it failed to track down the culprits/ terrorists loaded with guns, rocket launchers n 300 Kg of RDX despite the early warnings of the state n army intelligence.
While handing over the copies of the letters seeking permission for the airlifting of troopers, denied later on by the government, Surjewala asked who’s fault is this n why was it allowed to happen?
Levelling charges of giving up the Raj Dharm n instead involving himself in Raj Bachao Dharam against PM Modi, Surjewala said when the entire nation was in shock n trauma after 3.10 PM on the day of the tragic Pulwama attack , prime minister Narendra Modi was busy giving photo shoots n interview to the discovery channel at the Corbett National Park, near Nainital sitting on the boat feeding crocodiles having tea n snacks.
He also criticized the statement of BJP supremo Amit Shah at a public meeting in Assam that it’s not the Congress but the ruling BJP which can protect the country from enemy Pakistan and safeguard the nation.
Replying to Amit Shah’s statement terming it as unfortunate Surjewala said it was the Congress party and its successive governments that defeated n ruined Pakistan in three wars of 1947, 1965 n 1971 n not the BJP.
It was the Congress rule n late PM Indira Gandhi’s leadership that divided Pakistan into two nations.
Castigating the BJP MPs n politicians of being non serious even at the funerals of the martyrs Surjewala waved the press clippings showing the saffron clad BJP MP in a laughing posture in the cremation of one of the martyred soldier in UP saying, this is how they express their grief for our reverred martyrs.
He also criticized certain ministers of the ruling party for allegedly taking selfies on the ocassion of grief n prime minister Modi busy in journeying n foreign tours reaching late at Palam Airport where the bodies of the martyrs were kept for homage.
