Covid Angels – New Initiative by Wonderla Holidays to Honour Frontline Workers
- Wonderla Amusement Park, Hyderabad invited ‘Covid Angels’ as part of their re-opening initiative. The gesture was to thank the frontline workers for their tireless service during these unprecedented times.
- As a token of appreciation, Wonderla honored 1500 Covid Angels along with 3 of their family members or friends to a fun-filled day with free entry to Wonderla Hyderabad park.
- The invitees included social workers and frontline workers like Doctors, Nurses, Attendants, Media reporters, Police, Crematorium workers, Asha workers, etc.
Registration Process for Wonderla Covid Angels Initiative
To register, the applicant was required to either self-nominate or nominate a person whom they know who has been tirelessly working during the pandemic.
Upload a picture or video on Instagram with the highlighting service/work and tag Wonderla’s official page @wonderla_in.
Also, the same could be done via Facebook by tagging Wonderla @ facebook.com/Wonderla. The registration portal was open from 21st to 25th July 2021.
After verification, the Wonderla team sent a confirmation to the selected applicants on or before 31st July 2021. The Park visit date was informed through this confirmation message.
As a part of this Covid Angel initiative, Wonderla provided free park entry, Lunch, HI- tea, and access to all rides for 1500 Covid angels and their family/friends, a total of 6000 people.
