DIY FUR-LINED SLIP-ON LOAFERS
If you are a fashion lover, you must be aware of fur-lined Gucci loafers, mules and slippers. Along with fashion quotient, they also offer PURE COMFORT. However, those will cost you as much as your house rent that to in some posh areas. Such situations always inspire the ‘Creative Me’ within us to DIY a pair of our own.
Here’s What You’ll Need
1. Fabric or thin leather or faux leather loafer
2. Faux fur (the softer the better)
3. Scissors / blade / pencil
4. Shoe/fabric Adhesive (Any glue that will hold fabric or fur on the shoes)
Let’s begin:
1. Put on the loafers, think carefully and decide how much of the sides should be retained.
2. Draw a slanted line from the side to the sole by using a measurement tape.
3. Cut the diagonal lines out using the scissors or a blade,
4. Carefully slice the bottom of the shoe siding from the sole, keeping the sole intact.
5. Using your shoe measurement set on the underside of your fur and trace around the heel and up to the ball of the shoe.
6. Carefully cut out the fur using the blade from the underside.
7. Place new furry soles inside the loafer and make sure that they fit into the same.
8. They might be little thicker on the ball of your foot, trim down the fur in that area with scissors if you can’t get your foot in.
9. Apply good amounts of adhesive or glue to the sole of the shoes and place the fur on the sole and inside the toe.
10. Make sure it fixed at the exact place. Let it set for a moment.
11. Then add extra glue at the heel and the fur is glued over the sole.
12. Hold for few seconds to set it down and leave them in a vented area to dry overnight.
13. In the morning, enjoy your new slip-ons.
