Dr. Harisuman Bisht is really a gem of a person ! A prominent litereteur, novelist, thinker n above all an affable human being !

For being an eminent literateur, author, novelist, thinker and story writer being utmostly humane and affable, soft spoken and well acclaimed are some of the qualities utmostly essential and mandatory.

One may be a popular person or an intellectual to the core as above but if he or she lacks these qualities are considered intellectuals in isolation. May be I am wrong but if I analyse the personality of the renowned hindi/ english author, thinker and literateur Dr. Harisuman Bisht, the former Secretary of Hindi and Maithili Academies of Delhi government to whose credit are several books on varied subjects of socio cultural significance I found him the person par excellence and writer, literateur and thinker of great eminence.

It is indeed always fruitful and blissful to meet him as he is considered to be one of the precious diamonds amongst the several eminent literateurs and authors of Uttarakhand always mixing and feeling enthralled to mix with the people of all shades in Delhi and Uttarakhand with his amazing smile and affable nature.

Born in a modest family of Uttarakhand hailing primarily from a simple village namely Kunheel, Almora on 1st January 1958 Dr. Harsuman Bisht has been immensely contributive for the promotion and conservation of Hindi language by not only authoring several books on varied subjects but have also contributed significantly for its( Hindi) promotion while being in various important positions in Delhi government including as the Secretary of Hindi Academy.

His novels and literay books on socio cultural, women empowerment, socio economic upliftment, Garhwali and Kumaoni theatre laced with emotions, passions and compassion have been widely acclaimed amongst the the cross section of the people nationally n globally. His several books particularly Aachri Maachri has been translated in English and in several other languages. The english translation of Acchri Maachri as MOUTAIN GIRL has hit the stands as one of the best sellers with an outstanding english translation. His novels have been extremely popular amongst the literary circles of the country. In his capacity as the Secretary of Hindi Academy Delhi Dr. Hari Suman Bisht’s immeasurable contribution an an organisor of important social, cultural, literary events n conferences of eminent poets n theatre activities have been immensely acclaimed nationally.
