Education
Empowering the village children with quality education Kamala Gariya passes away. Our heartfelt tributes to a visionery woman
Why is it that people who are involved transparently n with utmost dedication to reform the society and educate children of the poor, economically deprived n marginalised classes of the society are called by the Almighty as such a young age especially when the mission of these pro active education volunteers remains’ incomplete.
One such dedicated and a visionery woman namely Kamala Gariya has unfortunately left for her eternal journey ( heavenly abode) leaving her selfless mission to depart quality education to the children of remote areas of the Uttarakhand hills in between.
However, she has passed the baton of her unfinished tasks to her husband Bharat Gariya and other dedicated teachers of a private school called Angel’s academy functioning at the distant rural area like Bageshwar’s Kapkot vicinity where twelve years ago the local village children were struggling hard to acknowledge quality english medium education at cheaper rates.
In the absence of education, especially the quality education, majority of the families of the surrounding villages were constrained to leave their villages thus shifting to local towns n metropolises.
Late Kamala Gariya, keeping in view the genuine requirement of a school to impart cheaper quality education opened a school known as Angels’ Academy which imparted quality education to hundreds of children now studying in good number of prestigious Navoday Schools, Sainik School Ghorakha n Himjyoti Dehradun.to seed higher education in various desciplines of their choice.
The school also ensures that the students are taught local languages, how to preserve their cultural n folk heritage including to be outstanding singers, actors n sportsmen in the near future.
It was due to the dedicated hard work, vision and enthusiasm of late educationist Kamala Gariya that schools like Angel’s academy are imparting quality founding education in the remotest corners of Uttarakhand where unfortunately government schools running with extra budgets are being closed for the lack of quality education.
The children of Angels’ Academy School also send Rakhies to the Armymen guarding our porous borders on Rakhabandhan days every year. Our heartfelt tributes to educationist Kamala Gariya.
