Facebook Messenger Chatbots will allow financial transactions
Good news for the users of Facebook is that soon FB messenger would be having an ability to make direct payments by using chatbots so; the users of messenger will not have to leave the Facebook and can make payments directly through chatbots. The bots will use the credit card details for making instant payments.
David Marcus, head of Facebook messenger told that the latest version of the messenger will give 30,000 chatbots the ability to accept payments and this new feature of FB messenger will come as a part of app v.2 and will soon get rolled out to the users.
Facebook made a statement which stated “We’re kicking off the beginning of messages with payments that will allow businesses to sell products and services directly to customers in Messenger. Customers can check out with few easy clicks, without even leaving the Messenger app.
Just imagine that if it happens then there will be revolution in the online sales as it will help small businesses by giving them a wide reach and they will not have to use any other service to receive payments for the people sitting anywhere in the World.
It was further told that the Facebook Messenger chatbots will support credit card and mostly all major services like VISA, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, Stripe and Braintree.
Users will see a Buy now button in chats that will start the payment process and payment confirmation message will be displayed on successful transaction meanwhile the credit card used for the transaction will become the default card of the user that is tied with Facebook account or the Messenger account.
Facebook also claimed that their developers are working on adding up options like quick responses, product shipping notifications, flight updates and more in the messenger app.
