Four IB men caught outside Alok Verma’s Janpath house. Released after four hours !
The ongoing controversy of the fued between the two senior most officials of the premier investigating agency that has come out in the open affecting the prestige and status of CBI has gained a new momentum today when four persons were physically caught from outside the Lutyen zone’s residence of the former CBI director Alok Verma by his security personel, allegedly keeping surveillance on him.
The pictures appearing in various television channels are showing the security personel deputed at Alok Verma’s residence 2 Janpth, literally grabbing the persons and forcibly bringing them inside the Bunglow .
It has been revealed that on physically verifying their documents in their possesion the security persons have found the Intelligence bureau identity cards which unambiguously establish the fact that they were stationed there to cladestinely keep a watch ( surveillance) on the people visiting the former director’s house reveal sources. They were in two cars.
This new controversy about stationing of the IB officials outside Alok Verma’s house has added a new dimension to the entire episode making it more interesting and providing extra handle to the Congress party and the rest of the non BJP opposition leaders who are already gunning the ruling party with salvos after salvos of dismantling and dengrating the reputation of the premier investigating agency of the country.
All the four officials of IB have been released after four hours by the police as all of them were later on handed over to the Tilak Marg police station. The stationing of the four IB officials outside the residence of Alok Verma, who’d been sent on leave in view of the ongoing fued between him and his special director Rakesh Asthana accusing each other of taking bribe in one of the case pertaining to the meat exporter Moin Qureshi n one Sana has created sensitivity in the political and media circles of the capital.
This fued has led to denigrating of the image of the premier investigating agency CBI, says the BJP leader and former law minister Dr. Subramanium Swamy. The JDU leader K C Tyagi termed the incident as most unfortunate and said that planting of IB personels to spy on a former CBI director is not acceptable in a healthy democracy.
The Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has also expressed his antagonism and said that the country and the constitution are in peril. In his two tweets Rahul said that the PM removed the CBI director because he was collecting the papers on Rafale.
The Congress spokesman Surjewala tweeted that the IB is going the CBI way.”After making CBI as ‘Central Burial of Investigation’, the (Narendra) Modi government now stoops to a ‘new low’ — Snooping on ‘forcibly removed’ CBI Director through IB,” he added
On seeing the visuals it has been revealed that one of the IB personal was seen applying force to relieve himself from the custody of the PSOs of Alok Verma. The IB personel were spotted this morning outside Alok Verma’s Janpath residence sitting in two cars and keeping a watch on his residence. They were caught by the security of the former CBI director.
Meanwhile the IB has denied the charge of survellience on the former CBI chief and said that the IB officials were on routine duty in a VIP area from the security point of view and were there as they noticed some crowd at Janpath near the vicinity.
