Hip-Hop Tamizha’s next film to be a black comedy, script work underway
Composer Aadhi of Hip-Hop Tamizha duo’s next project will be a black comedy. He has said that the script work for the project is already underway and the shooting will kick off in 2020. He has also confirmed wielding the megaphone for the film, which will be his sophomore directorial venture. The yet-untitled film will mark Aadhi’s third film as a lead hero after the blockbuster Meesaya Murukku in 2017 and yet-to-be-released Natpe Thunai.
Meesaya Murukku was one of the highly successful films of 2017 despite the fact that it hit the theatres opposite another heavyweight like Vikram Vedha, which had Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi lock horns with each other. The album of Meesaya Murukku, written and directed by Aadhi, went on to become a raging hit among youngsters, who thronged to theaters in droves.
Now, Aadhi is gearing up for the release of his second film as lead protagonist Natpe Thunai, a sports-oriented film, which has a good mix of romance, action, friendship, and comedy. Aadhi plays the role of a hockey player in the movie, and he prepped for nearly six months to ace the game.
Now, Hip-Hop Tamizha duo is busy scoring the music for Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara’s Mr. Local which is scheduled to hit the screens on May 1. He also has debutant director Pradeep Ranganathan’s Komaali, which stars Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal as leads, in his kitty.
