IIM Udaipur Welcomes MBA New Batches For The Academic Year 2021-22
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Udaipur, hosted the inaugural ceremony of the ninth batch of its One Year MBA – Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) program and the second batch of its One Year MBA – Digital Enterprise Management (DEM) for 2021-22.
The virtual event was presided over by Prof. Janat Shah, Director IIM Udaipur, and Prof. Rajesh Agrawal, Chairperson One-year MBA Program Committee. Mr. Rajiv Bhuta, Vice President Product Management, Walmart Labs, and Mr. Hitesh Oberoi, Co-Promoter, MD and CEO – InfoEdge – Naukri, 99acres, Jeevansathi, and Shiksha.com graced the ceremony as the chief guests.
Sharing his experience with the One-Year GSCM batch, Mr. Rajiv Bhutia said, “It is the best time to do an MBA in the supply chain. India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and is slated to be a global supply chain hub. The pandemic has urged industries to also transform their supply chains to make them more resilient and innovative.”
“I am sure the one-year MBA course will instill in you the best management practices to deal with crises like this, and the skill set you will learn will act as an added advantage for the industries.” He added.
In his address, to the One Year DEM batch, Mr. Hitesh Oberoi said, “The journey to long roads often begins with small steps. One such small step has been of IIMU launching a one-year MBA in Digital Enterprise Management (DEM) that skills professionals with AI, machine learning, IoT, big data, analytics, etc.”
“Digital is the new business paradigm as virtually everything is online or getting there. Technology is everywhere with an explosion of opportunities. These require managers with digital skills and this course would help the participants learn and grow in the new normal,” He further added.
Addressing the incoming batches, Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur, said, “It is the best time to be in an educational institute and getting the right educational knowledge when the economy is challenged. The pandemic has also offered you an opportunity to discover yourself and reflect on making a difference in society.”

Prof. Rajesh Agarwal, Chairperson – One Year MBA (GSCM/DEM) Programs Committee, delivered the welcome address to both the batches and congratulated everyone on the start of their transformational journeys.
