Jagat Prakash Nadda is the new BJP President
The former union health minister and the acting BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda has been today formally sworn in as the president of the ruling party BJP in a grand function attended by prime minister Narendra Modi, Union Home and defence minister Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh and the entire union cabinet including the national and state office bearers from all over the country at a function held at the national BJP headquarter at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, New Delhi.
The auditorium was full of party supporters, leaders and ministers at the pan India level. Prime minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah and defence minister and former national BJP president Rajnath Singh congratulated J. P. Nadda on assuming the charge as the national BJP president and expressed optimism the party will strengthen cohesively under his dynamic and pro-people leadership.
Prime minister Narendra Modi, Home minister Amit Shah and defence minister Singh presented bouquets to Nadda and lauded his efficient leadership hoping that the party will progress by leaps and bounds under his strong and dedicated efforts and vision-oriented leadership. There were slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai, Narendra Modi Zindabad and J. P. Nadda Zindabad. It may be recalled that the leadership baton of BJP was passed on to J. P. Nadda who resigned from the post of union health minister as the acting president by the then outgoing president and now home minister Amit Shah and has now been formally elected as the BJP’s national president.
Mr Nadda hails from Himachal Pradesh and is a member of parliament from this Himalayan state. His contribution to the saffron party is unstinted.
