The family action adventure, Junglee, which released in theatres on Friday, has managed to win hearts of audiences. The movie which stars Vidyut Jammwal in the lead role, has made the massive earning of Rs. 3.35 crore on the first day itself.
The movie, directed by Chuck Russell, has connected well with the kids. Hence the movie, despite facing competition from Akshay Kumar-Parineeti Chopra starrer Kesari, has minted a huge amount on the opening day. This Vidyut Jammwal starrer is expected to do better over the weekends. Junglee also stars Pooja Sawant, Asha Bhat, Makarand Deshpande, Atul Kulkarni and Akshay Oberoi in important roles.
Made on a budget of Rs. 22 crore, the movie is likely to cross the 10-crore mark over the weekend itself. Director Chuck Russell has previously worked on the movies The Mask (1994), The Scorpion King (2002) and I Am Wrath (2016). The movie was previously supposed to be directed by Rohan Sippy, who confessed that Salim-Javed’s film Haathi Mere Saathi became an inspiration for him while making Junglee. Produced by Vineet Jain and Preeti Shahni, Junglee Pictures ‘Junglee’ is about coming home to the jungle, to the nature and then finally fighting for it.
