Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Mental Hai Kya’ gets a new release date yet again

After impressing everyone with her incredible performance as Rani Laxmibai in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, people are now excited to see Kangana Ranaut in Mental Hai Kya. The film marks the reunion the actor with her Queen co-star Rajkummar Rao after six years. Mental Hai Kya was initially slated to release on February 22, 2019. Later on, the release date was postponed to March 29, 2019. Now, the makers of the much-awaited flick have further pushed the release of the film.

As per reports in a tabloid, Mental Hai Kya will now release in the month of May this year. The delay came in after Kangana insisted the makers. Talking about the same, a source revealed to the tabloid, “After the success of Manikarnika, Kangana wanted to space out her next film.Mental Hai Kya was coming exactly two months after Manikarnika‘s release, which implied that she would have to immediately dive into the film’s promotions. She requested the makers for a breather as the period drama had taken a toll on her.”

As Kangana had to reshoot the portions ofManikarnika, the patchwork of Mental Hai Kya is yet to be finished which is one of the reasons for the delay. The confirmed release date is yet to be decided by the makers.

Mental Hai Kya is being helmed by Prakash Kovelamudi and produced by Ekta Kapoor under her home banner Balaji Motion Pictures. Several posters of the film were released in the month of February last year.
