After the formal end to the ten day political drama that saw the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival and his three cabinet colleagues staging a forcible sit in and hunger strike at the LG’s official bungalow one thing is absolutely unambiguous that the AAP party and government finally won and acknowledged media publicity of miilion dollars having able to portray itself as the party with struggle for countering the union BJP government and its nominee the LG of Delhi who according to them were creating constant bottlenecks in the way of AAP government really wanting to implement various pro people measures for the Delhi electorates but not able to do due to the major hiccups created by the saffron party government.

The way a laughing Kejrival alongwith his wife , health minister Satyendra Jain and and the newly elected RS MP Sanjay Singh is exhibiting his satisfactory posture of victory on the front pages of every newspaper after 10 days of the sit in hunger strike that finally resulted in the entire AGMUT cadre IAS officers resuming their respective duties in Delhi secretariat duly cooperating with his ministers speaks of the fact that in this entire political drama it was ultimately the AAP n its leadership that has won and the BJP and the LG who had to finally succumb to AAP’s pressure. Since the national elections of 2019 and state election of 2020 are fastly approaching near Arvind Kejrival and his cohorts who had always been at loggerheds with the BJP , LG and the union government including the PM Narendra Modi blaming them every now and then for all the ills of Delhi governments thus giving an impression to the electorates that they are not being allowed to function and implement various pro people measures.

This is not the first time that the Delhi CM Kejrival has to resort to the sit in at the LG office but in the past too he had been in constant confrontation with the former LG Nazeeb Jung, the Congress nominee who later on came into the good books of PM Modi, but resigned afterwards feeling disgusted and demoralised. Prior to this he slept on the road side pavement near boat club attracting the media attention while demanding suspension of two policemen. The AAM AADMI PARTY n its lawmakers too had been in hell of a controversy earlier after its two ministers were caught on camera in myschevious and shameful act of sexual assault and another in fake degree case. Several of its MLAs had been jailed and cases registered against them for corruption and various mal practices.

This resulted in tremendous denigration of AAP’S IMAGE which had been projecting itself as a crusader against corruption. Even the one of the mentor of Arvind Kejrival, the genuine crusader and stalwart against corruption Anna Hazaare too issue public statements condemning the AAP’s corrpt practices. In order to come out of this fiasco, Arvind Kejrival and his ministers who were earlier too vociferous in accusing the LG, centre and the PM every single day strategically stopped doing so and involved themselves in the developmental and pro people work of Delhi.

During this two year period Kejrival and his government have improved the government schools’ status accompanying excellent esults, improvised the Delhi health sector with free distribution of all medicines for all catagories of ailments compounded with free treatment in all the private hospitals for critical illnesses and surgeries and increase in number of beds. In the transport sector it has ordered for two thousand new buses with roposal for free travel for senior citizens and cheapest fare for students.

The government also came forward to oppose the arbitrary fare increase in metro fares adding extra burden on Delhites and offered RS 500 to cover the annual losses of Metro but the union urban development ministry refused the proposal and went ahead with the fare hike against the wishes of AAP as well as the Delhi electorates. It also passed the bill on full state hood to Delhi and proposal to regularise 15000 adhoc teachers and anganwadi workers in Delhi government but the centre literally bogged down the matter.

The Delhi elections and the national elections are due in 2020 n 2109 and Arvind Kejrival is in no mood to take any chance. After the poor performance in the MCD election having won only 50 seats out of total 270 at the hands of BJP which repeated for the second term killing the anti incumbency.

Chief minister Arvind Kejrival knows that his party is the target of both BJP and Congress in Delhi and can be the victim of anti incumbency in 2020. Therefore he has again resorted to the politics of protests and demonstrations so as to re energise his entire cadre as well as his vote bank that hails from the unauthorised colonies, JJ clusters , lower middle class , government employees and the trading community of small and medium class.
