Law firm proprietor Murali Lal Thapliyal contests as MP from Brampton West, Canada
A proud Uttarakhandi settled in Canada since 2003 owner of a prestigious law firm Murali Lal Thapliyal is contesting as an MP from Conservative party in the federal elections being held in the month of October, belonging to a village in Garhwal Uttarakhand. A leading advocate and proprietor of Thapliyal and Rai Law Firm in Brampton West Canada Muralilal Thapliyal left his village for Mumbai in search of a job at the age of seventeen. He worked as a farmer in his village and completed his higher secondary education in his native place.
Reaching Mumbai he got a job in Mahindra and Mahindra Company where he worked for 12 ling years and also completed his graduation, BA LLB, LLM, MA and thereafter practiced for 7 years in Mumbai High Court. This is indeed a rag to riches story by the dint of hard work, perseverance, and commitment of a boy from a village reaching a dream city Mumbai and thereafter carving a niche for himself with a great amount of dedication and hard work with integrity.
In an interview to a Hindi channel of Canada Conservative candidate, Murali Lal Thapliyal said that I am from a peasants family primarily. After serving in Mumbai High Court for 9 long years, I was acquainted by my friends in Canada and through the news about this beautiful country Canada, the prospects there and great career opportunities. I was made aware of this dream city where everyone could prosper and make ways ahead.
Therefore highly enthused I left India with my wife and two kids and finally came to Canada in 2003 considering myself too lucky and fortunate.
A dedicated lawyer and a committed socialite having confronted lots of challenges in his life full of struggle Murari Lal’s believes in honesty, reliability, integrity and hard work which is also his tag line. He reiterates: if you follow these four words and bring them into true practice, no power on earth can stop you from reaching the top.
Murari Lal says: Canada is a dreamland and land of opportunities. All the immigrants here are too lucky and fortunate to shape their future and lead an excellent quality life.
Giving details about his interest in politics and the ideology he represents Thapliyal says that he joined the Conservative party because he was immensely impressed by the former prime minister Eastman Harbour. Moreover, since he had a background of a student leader his interest in service to the society and politics further generated from within. He adds: My mother used to say: if you become big in life one day to serve others as everybody serve themselves but no one does anything for others.
I had my mother’s wish in mind. Therefore I joined active politics and the Conservative party. Hard work with integrity and dedication is my core principle. When I came to Canada in 2003 I started my Law firm as an individual. Slowly and gradually it grew and I got a partner Prashant Rai. We formed Thapliyal and Rai Law Firm which is quite popular today having a massive clientele adds Thapliyal.
About his dedication and progress in life, Thapliyal adds: I used to work from 4 early mornings till 11.30 night and the hard work finally paid with the massive support of the multicultural and multilingual Canadians.
About his adoration and love for the party, he represents Thapkiyal says: I believe in Conservative values and former PM Eastern Harbour due to his towering and impressive leadership and tremendous acumen as well.
When the global economy viz the economy of US, China, India, etc were in jeopardy it was Canada under his leadership which stood up strongly without any hassles with the value of Canada’s dollar more than the US dollar. He further states that the Conservative party believes in the law of the land, to manage the nation’s affairs within the indigenous economic parameters, family values, and no vulgar ostentations, etc.
When I started observing the credibility of political parties after 2003 I found the liberal and NDP parties useless but conservation as a visionary party committed to working for the people and the country. So I joined it says Thapliyal about his association with the Conservatives.
Praising the constituency he is representing and criticizing his immediate political rival Thapliyal says: the most growing city of Canada is Brampton West with a whopping population of 7 lakh people.
The sitting Liberal MP Kamal Khera has literally done nothing during his tenure to serve the people. There is no university in Brampton West despite repeated demands of the electorates neither any infrastructural development.
Liberal MP Khera has never raised voice in Canadian parliament for the welfare and well being of the people of this constituency. I am getting regular feedback from people of multicultural ethnicity visiting my office and complaining me says Thapliyal.
He further adds that there had been no structural development as well. The Brampton West has been completed neglected. It’s because of these negligencies on the part of Kamal Khera the sitting MP of the liberal party I have decided to contest to fulfill the incomplete works and am amply sure rather fully confident on ” Dhanke ki chot” that I will win from Brampton West this time to serve my people.
I am sure because the way they have made me triumphed in the first ballot to be eligible for the ticket of conservative party MP, they will also make me victorious in the incoming election in October with a heavy margin.
About his future plans highly confident Thapliyal says that after winning the election my basic aim would be to generate employment through constructing hospitals, industries, universities, and educational institutions, etc. in Brampton West and serve the masses to the core to their fullest satisfaction and the faith they would be reposing in me and my leadership.
