A young man supposed to be a minor namely Gopal of Zhevar village of Greater Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar has today created a strong sensation in Jamia Nagar precincts at one o clock in the afternoon when he openly fired at the crowd injuring a JNU student namely Shabaad, who’s currently under treatment at the AIIMS Trauma Center.

Allegedly considered to be a staunch Hindu protagonist as revealed through his Facebook timeline Gopal created quite a sensation in the presence of several policemen at Jamia vicinity where the controversial sit-in and protest against CAA is being held for the last several weeks amidst heavy police bandobast. The Union Home minister Amit Shah has taken a serious view of the incident and has ordered the Delhi police commissioner Amulya Patnaik to take stringent action in the matter against the guilty.

The miscreant has been arrested and is being deeply questioned about the motive behind his ill-conceived design of carrying a countrymade revolver in Jamia and publicly shooting a person in broad daylight. According to the news, while the protests against CAA at Jamia were in progress an angered boy named Gopal, all of a sudden appeared on the road and started waving a homemade pistol at the protestors at Jamia shouting at them saying “Le lo Azaadi.” Take your freedom. A good number of policemen standing at the scene were mum and just watched the entire drama for 42 seconds amidst shouts of this pistol laden youth.

The media around came into action and so the police after some time. The youth was brandishing the pistol towards the crowd shouting at them in raze and anger saying Le Lo Azaadi and all of a sudden fired a round which hurt a JNU student namely Shaabaad coming towards him. Meanwhile, an alert policemen strongly caught the boy and grabbed his pistol followed by other policemen who forcibly pumped/pushed him into the waiting police van. There was total commotion all around as the drama continued for about 42 seconds with police initially behaving like mere spectators.

The boy in the black jacket looked extremely angered and furious against the Shaheen Bagh protestors and looked as if he wanted to teach them a stringent lesson. There was commotion all around. The Facebook page of the boy revealed his being a staunch Hindu protagonist who allegedly wanted to take revenge for his friend killed a few months ago in UP in a procession by a bullet. This was revealed in one of his Facebook posts. However, nothing is clear about the motive behind the act.

The police have registered the case against the culprit under several stringent sections of IPC, including an attempt to murder. The entire news channels are full of this highly sensational news. The leaders of AAP and Congress Sanjay Singh and Manish Tiwari including Owaissi have strongly condemned the incident and as expected have accused the saffron party of fanning communalism and instigating people in the name of alleged Hindu Muslim divide. Meanwhile, the Union Home minister Amit Shah has unambiguously taken a serious note of the incident and instructed the Delhi police commissioner to take strict action against the accused. A special police commissioner level officer is conducting the inquiry in the matter.
