Lt Governor Najeeb Jung submits his resignation, Thanks Kejriwal and PM
Surprisingly Lt. Governor of Delhi, Najeeb Jung has submitted his resignation to the Central Government today without giving any reason. He is 65 year old and a former IAS officer took charge as the Governor of Delhi on 9th July, 2013.
Najeeb Jung thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for all the help and cooperation he had received during his tenure.
He also thanked many other people who for all their love and affection, especially during one year President’s rule in Delhi, when he got support from them and which in turn helped the administration in Delhi run smoothly and effortlessly.
He even thanked Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal for his association in the last 2 years.
We all know that Arvind Kejriwal has always alleged that Najeeb Jung never let their Government to work smoothly and they always had bitter relationship. Kejriwal also accused him of working against the interests of the Delhi Government at the behest of center.
It is a surprise move the Lt. Governor and let us see and watch whether the center Government will accept his resignation or is it just another political gimmick.
According to sources in the Home Ministry his resignation suggested a political decision at the highest level and the copy of his resignation was not received at the MHA even an hour the news broke.
