Magnetic Hill is also known as a gravity hill and is located near Leh in Ladakh. The hill is purported to have strong magnetic properties, which can pull vehicles uphill. Even the aircraft’s passing over the hill are compelled to increase their altitude in order to escape the magnetic interference. Actually, this effect is considered to be an optical illusion created by the gravity hill.

Leh Palace is also known as the ‘Lhachen Palkhar’ is a former royal palace located in Leh. Built-in the 17th century, the palace is marked as one of the tallest constructions of that era. The rooftop of the palace provides spectacular views of the mountains of Stok Kangri and the Ladakh mountain range. Apart from this, a Buddha statue mounted inside the monastery of the palace is another breathtaking tourist attraction. The best time to visit is in August.

Diskit Monastery

Diskit Monastery also referred to as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa, is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery located in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh. It was founded in the 14th century by Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong Khapa. Therefore, the monastery belongs to the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
