In the election year when the three states of the country are going to polls in the last month of 2018 and the BJP led NDA government at the centre is already under severe political attack on the issue of price rise of the petro products going higher and higher every alternate day, the most controvertial revelation by the financial fugitive Vijaya Mallaya in London that he had met the Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in parliament befor leaving for England informing him of his exit have raised a political furore in the political corridors of the country with Congress and the anti BJP opposition trading charges of allegedly helping the international fugitive Mallaya to leave the country conveniently.

Even the vociferous BJP leader Dr. Subramaniam Swamy, an ardent and arch rival of Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi against whom he has filed the case of alleged inappropriation of funds in the National Herald case has said that this is an extremely serious matter, especially after the financial fraudster Mallaya’s disclosure in London, about his alleged meeting with Jaitley in Parliament before leaving for London and should be impartially probed to bring the real picture to the fore in order to clear the ongoing doubts and confusion. He said the dilution in the entire exercise that helped intrepid Mallaya clandestinely leave India so conveniently is a matter of serious concern and should be probed deeply.

In a tweet Swamy said: We have now two undeniable facts on Mallaya escape issue. 1. Lookout notice was diluted on October 24, 2015 from., ” Block,” to report ,” Departure,” enabling Mallaya to depart with 54 checked luggage items.2. Mallaya toldthe FM in the central hall of parliament that he is leaving for London. Such a direct allegation by the saffron party’s leader speak too much of the alleged complicity of those in power who’d perhaps helped Mallaya go abroad clandestinely say sources.

The Congress President Rahul Gandhi has tweeted : Given Vijay Mallaya’s extremely serious allegations in London today, the PM should immediately order an independent probe into the matter. Arun Jaitley should step down as the Finance Minister till the probe is underway. In order to substantiate the statement of the financial fugitive and ex MP Vijaya Mallaya the Congress MP and leader of the backward classes P L Puniya has openly said to the news channels and also tweeted that Arun Jaitley is lying. I saw him having a prolonged meeting in the central hall of parliament about two days before he was allowed to escape from India. Chowkidaar is not only bhaagidaar but also gunahagaar adds the tweet.

The union finance minister Arun Jaitley has outrightly denied any report of meeting Mallaya and said publicly that during his 4 years’ tenure after his holding the office as finance minister he never met ot had given appointment to the fugitive ex MP.

Meanwhile as per the news published in various dailies the Westminster magistrate London Court has fixed December 10 to deliver judgement about the extradition of the figitive Indian billionare.
