Martyred Corporal sister’s marriage solemnised in Patna with his Garud commando colleagues donating Rs. 5 lakhs

The marriage of the sister of martyr corporal of Garud Commandoes of Indian Air Force was solemnised last week in Patna.

As it is well known that the valiant Corporal of Indian Army had killed two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir in 2017 and was martyred while valiantly fighting with the third one. Un all six terrorists were gunned downed in this operation.

Late Corporal Jyoti Prakash Nirala was the brother of four sisters on whose shoulders lied the responsibility of their marriages but after his martyrdom the family was in immense financial jeopardy having lost the only earning member.

The marriage solemnised last week was of his second sister out of four. The unique ness of this marriage was that every commando, senior officer and their subordinates hailing from Garur Cammando unit collected funds to the tune of Rs. five lakhs and solemnised the marriage of late corporal Nirala’s sister as a mark of tribute to their friend and colleague. It was indeed a rare gesture of humility and affection by Garud commandoes for their martyred colleague.

A good number of his friends were present on this ocassion who’d come from different parts of the country.

At the time of departure of corporal Nirala’s sister to her in laws house every friend of the martyr were in tears, full of emotions and lend their palm ahead asking the sister to place her legs on them to step out of the house.

Though corporal Nirala has left everyone behind lamenting and in grief while valiantly fighting the enemy terrorists killing two out of total six , he left behind a family of emotionally attached several brothers of Garud Commando unit who are standing behind his traumatic family as a hard rock at every critical juncture.

Salutes to corporal Nirala and his friends. The marriage was solemnised in Patna in the recent past says the whatsapp message being circulated in the social media with her picture in traditional marriage attire.

It may be recalled that president Ram Nath Kovind has accorded the nation’s highest peacetime military decoration ASHOK CHAKRA to late Garud Commando Corporal Jyoti Prakash Nirala who laid down his precious life valiantly fighting and subsequently gunning down the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2017.

As per the news, an offensive was launched in Chanderpur village of terrorist infested Bandipura district on acknowledging the information from military intelligence on 18th November 2017 about the presence of some hardcore terrorists.

The Garud commandoes detachment coverty approached the house targetted in which the terrorists were hiding.

Exhibiting an exceptional courage and valour Garud Cammando Corporal Jyoti Nirala positioned himself close to the door of the hideout least bothering for his life.

Laying an ambush at such close quarters demanded a very high degree of valour and bravery including professional dexterity.

Nirala shot two terrorists in the massive exchange of fire that lasted several hours but was martyred after having been critically injured in the violent exchage of fire.

Nirala succumbed to the severe injuries after the fatal gun shot. About six terrorists were killed in this entire operation. Salutes.
