Mayavati and Akhilesh : Torn apart in just two weeks after election results.
Just two weeks after the terrible defeat in Uttar Pradesh getting merely 15 seats, five to Samajwadi party and ten to Bahujan Samaj Party with not a single seat to Rashtriya Lok Dal, the political combine has splintered again with BSP supremo Mayawati and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav throwing each other apart with a bang and accusing of betrayel.
This mistrust unambiguously vindicates prime minister Narendra Modi’s statements in various public meetings durung election campaigning that the anti BJP opposition especially the UP experiment of BSP, SP n RLD combine is not a maha gathbandhan but a thug bandhan to oust him from power as an opportunistic alliance for achieving the chair of prime minister through political manipulations n bundles of lies.
Had it not been the case this Uttar Pradesh alliance would not have dithered so quickly in desperation.
The BSP supremo Mayawati has while coming out of the alliance openly accused SP chief Akhilesh Yadav of not making genuine, transparent and dedicated efforts to ensure that the votes of the Yadav community got transferrered to Bahujan Samaj Party whereas she claims that the BSP votes have been transferred to SP.
She even said that the SP leadership had proved so incompetent that they have lost their family pocket boroughs as well in three Lok Sabhas’ of Firozabad, Kannaj and Badayun.
She said that there was comolete absense of a missionery zeal in Samajwadi party which is the core principle of BSP in moving ahead.
However Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav were both appreciative of each other and said that their respect for each other will continue as usual.
Mayawati has declared that the Bahujan Samaj Party will in future contest on all seats in the forthcoming assembly elections at the pan India level, on their own, having no alliance with any political party.
In Uttar Pradesh too the party will contest separately on all the eleven seats that have become vacant in view of the sitting MLAs having now become MP.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh too has cleared that the SP would be contesting on these seats singularly with no truck with any political party.
Such a quick disintegration in the Uttar Pradesh Gathbandhan has infact send across a very negative message amongst the cross section of the society indicating unambiguously that the anti BJP opposition has now literally scattered not only in the largest state of the country but also at the national level with every party opposed to BJP having been splintered into pieces.
The Congress party which bagged 52 seats only have not even qualified to seek the status of the opposition leader in the Lok Sabha.
In Rajya Sabha too the BJP which was lacking its majority will complete the requisite numbers in the near future, good enough to pass any bill, the privilege n opportunity it was lacking in the past sessions.
It may be recalled that a year ago in 2018 the SP had won two lok sabha seats in byelections from Phulpur n Gorakhpur with the BSP’s backing from the traditional strongholds of the UP CM Yogi Adityanath n the deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya.
The joint opposition women candidate of SP, BSP, RLD n Congress had also won hands down from Kairana.
These three by election victories had immensely enhance the morale of these parties n enthused the BSP, SP n RLD to come togerther in the form of the BSP, SP, RLD alliance keeping the Congress out of the Gathbandhan.
The trio were very much hopeful of eliciting the enblock votes of SC, ST, Yadavs, OBCs, lower castes and the minorities but the situation took a topsy tervy turn due to extreme hindu polarisation and post Balakot attack.
People voted for prime minister Narendra Modi repeating the 2014 n 2017 trend of massive Modi undercurrent where all the regional n national issues got diluted except vote for Modi compounded by mass scale Hindu muslim divide favouring the saffron party n its allies.
The predictions of all the progressive news analysts failed badly and what prime minister Narendra Modi n BJP supremo Amit had been pronouncing viz 300 plus have come as true predictions.
This is the second time that the nation will have the weakest opposition though Congress party has this time enhanced its seat tally to 52 from 44.
BSP has also been a gainer despite loosing badly this time in Uttar Pradesh and at the pan India level. While it gained by 10 lok sabha seats from the zero figure of last time the Samajwadi party came down to mere five seats drawing a blank at the national level.

Two big regional power houses thought that they could take on bjp collectively but failed miserably as both have different ideologies.
Secondly most of the people want developmental schemes & are no more interested in caste based or religious politics…
The opposition parties need to change their attitude & agenda as people are more aware of political happenings due to social media failing which they will have to sit as leaders of the opposition for a long period of time….
Nice & interesting article Respected Sunil Negi Sir !!!
