Mayawati’s dynastic politics

The BSP supremo Mayawati has proved to be the the opportunistic leader in the country’s political scenerio who not only in desperation disassociated her party from the BSP, SP, RLD alliance but has also given the impression that how narrow and pro dynastic is she, by way of appointing her elder brother Anand as the Vice President of her party and nephew Akash as the national co ordinator of BSP.
A leader of the dalits who had been in the past accusing the Congress party and the Nehru Gandhi family of promoting dynastic politics in the country is today herself instead of laying forward the programmes and policies for the welfare and well being of the dalits and backwards is rather concentrating her efforts to promote her family rule in the party that has lost at the hustings despite the formation of a credible alliance with SP and BSP in this election as claimed by her.
Though Behan Mayawati has won in 10 parliamentary seats in Uttar Pradesh and SP merely five thus increasing tally from zero to ten, her claim of winning of 45 seats by the BSP, SP, RLD state alliance has been a greatest political tragedy at the hustings, especially when she was dreaming of becoming the prime minister of the country from the non BJP opposition’s side.
It may be recalled that always banking on caste politics BSP chief Mayawati had formed the over ambitious BSP, SP, RLD alliance in Uttar Pradesh in the recently held general elections after the SP and RLD candidates won the Phulpur, Gorakhpur and Kairana by election seats in March 2018 and thereafter.
The BSP chief Mayawati, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and RLD leader Ajit Singh though that keeping in view the byelection victories from the UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya’s lok Sabha constituencies they will make wonders in Uttar Pradesh by decimating the BJP to merely 25 seats out of total 80.
But the Modi Charisma, post Pulwama effect and Yogi Adityanath’s polarisation tactics made wonders for BJP reducing the Gathbandhan to merely 15 seats thus crushing Mayawati’s dream to be the next prime minister of the country.
This aweful defeat of the Mahagathbandhan has made it amply clear that the votes of BSP and SP could’nt transfer into each others fold with BJP getting its full share.
Not only this but the vote share of the Bhartiya Janata Party enhanced to fifty percent in Uttar Pradesh.
Mayawati is blaming SP chief Akhilesh Yadav of not encouraging her Yadav votes to transfer them to the BSP and has also accused him of asking her not to field maximum muslim candidates in order to discourage the BJP take pro Hindu and anti muslim polarisations’ advantage.
But the point is why had she not made this accusation public when this instruction was given to her by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav or why had shee heeded to his advise then. Conclusively, the fact of the matter is that Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party are today confined themselves within their families with a single point agend to promote their family members than to work on pro people welfare agenda especialy for the poor, have nits and the dalits, Yadav’s and OBCs.
The fact also remains that political parties which came into existence after the Mandal Commission formulation over a decade or more ago have confinedthemselves as disgruntled political outfits only believing in political manipulations to seize power this way or that way throwing their ideological considerations to winds.
They are all steadfastly losing confidence withing their caste vote banks due to their leaders discredible actions and the massive victory of BJP at the hustings in an unambiguous examole of the failure of caste ridden politics, politicians and their parties. Whats your take friends?
