Maharashtra State CET Cell has announced a further extension in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET), which earlier was scheduled to be conducted from July 4, 2020, to August 5, 2020. Amid increasing cases of coronavirus epidemic, the MHT-CET 2020 has been extended till further notice.

The State Common Entrance Examination Cell received continuous requests from the students and parents to postpone the exams. The decision to extend the exams further was taken considering the health of the students. The new dates of MHT CET are expected to be announced soon.

According to the Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant, the entrance examinations in many other subjects are extended because of the increasing Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra. The decision to revise MHT-CET dates for engineering, pharmacy & agriculture, law, and among other courses was taken due to the current situation in Maharashtra.

MHT-CET exam dates of the below-mentioned exams are postponed

  • MHT CET Exam 2020 – To be notified in the coming days.
  • MHT CET Law Exam 2020 (5 years) – To be notified.
  • MHT CET Law Exam 2020 (3 years) – To be Notified.
  • Declaration of results – To be notified.

COVID-19 continues to create chaos with MHT CET schedule

The rescheduling of the CET exams is the latest move by the authorities due to the increasing outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdowns across the nation. Like the MHT CET 2020 popular entrance exams are already extended many times; after a change in their original exam dates.

Considering the higher risk factor involved in traveling in Maharashtra, the delay in the exam is significant. With a surge in corona cases in Maharashtra, it is uncertain how long it will take to control the situation soon. But there is no better way to overcome this situation than to delay the exams. According to the recent announcement by the education minister of Maharashtra, the MHT CET exam is postponed until further notice.
