India is perhaps one of the most diverse countries when it comes to landscape, whether its mountains, beaches, deserts, plains… you’ll find it all in this beautiful subcontinent. Hot Springs in India, though not much talked about, aren’t an exception to this and so here we are- with our own tiny list of Hot Springs in India that are a must-visit!

Chumathang in Ladakh

In the cold of Ladakh, this hot spring looks nothing less than a paradise. Believed to have medicinal powers, the Chumathang Hot Spring though not famous, is still a place you must visit if only for the unique experience it offers.

Kheerganga in Kullu

Amidst the dense forest of Kullu, Kheerganga Hot Spring is a famous tourist attraction and rightfully so! It is one of the most picturesque hot springs which offers the best rejuvenating experience.

Tapovan in Uttarakhand

Though Uttarakhand is the home to many hot springs like Gaurikund and Rishikund, Tapovan Hot Springs show off another level of aesthetics. The sulfur-rich water which emerges from the yellow-soiled hill is a sight to behold for the way it glimmers. It is also near Gangotri glacier, thus considered sacred and a frequent place to rest for travellers.

Reshi in Sikkim

Near Gyalshing on the banks of Rangeet River in Sikkim, a sulfur-rich hot spring surrounded by natural beauty. Though it is not massively popular among tourists, it is frequented by the locals and is a spot for trekkers to rest. Also, close to this hot spring, you can visit Kah-do Sang Phu- believed to be a sacred cave of the occult fairies.

Panamik in Ladakh

Located in Nubra valley, around 150 km from Leh, it is one of the popular hot springs among tourists. Near Siachen glacier, at the height of 10,442 feet above sea level, this hot spring offers a splendid view and boasts of good medicinal properties.
