New Age Bollywood Power Couples

Celebrity couples have always been a big part of any entertainment industry and of course the same goes for Bollywood too. In all the over 100 years of Bollywood, in every era, there have been many couples but only a handful of them were truly power couples- the couple whose story made a big part of their contemporary era. Although we have had power couples like Shah Rukh-Gauri, Twinkle-Akshay, Aishwarya-Abhishek, and Kareena-Saif among others, now is the time for the new ones to take over. So here we are with yet another list, a list of new-age power couples but it’s not that long, after all being a ‘power couple’ ain’t that easy!

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli

An Actress and a Cricketer- a classic combination and this couple really show why. They met in 2013 while filming for an endorsement and after being in a stable relationship for over 4 years, got married in 2017 in Italy. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, whose fan-dubbed couple name is Virushka, is truly a couple worthy of being called a ‘power couple’. Whether it’s their story or presence or their style sense- they really complement each other.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone

DeepVeer dated for about 5 years before getting married in November 2018 and I think this is one couple we all love and with good reason too! Both of them are super talented actors with a huge fan following and have worked together in movies like Ramleela and Bajirao Mastani. Also, the way they complement each other is too die for… just see their looks in the recent IIFA awards, different but somehow a fitting together well. A couple that makes you sigh with how cute they are.

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Kapoor

In a recent interview, Shahid talked about his wife of over 4 years Mira and we could tell how loving their relationship is! The couple, who have a noteworthy age difference (which really doesn’t make a difference when it comes to compatibility) have two kids, Misha and Zain together. From childhood friends to partners for life, this couple is definitely one of the more eye-catching ones out there.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt

A fairly new couple who has yet to tie the knot but no less worthy of being called a ‘power couple’, Alia and Ranbir are a pair which will make you go ‘awww’. Don’t trust us? See their appearances together for yourself! Their first movie Brahmastra is yet to be released and we can’t wait to see them sharing the screen.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

Not completely desi but still on the list because of their sheer adorableness. Another couple to tie the knot in 2018, Priyanka and American singer Nick Jonas are truly a couple you can’t help but fawn over. From their award shows interactions to social media engagements, everything screams ‘in love’ for this Jodi.

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’souza

Okay… not really a new couple since they got married in 2012 after knowing each other for over 9 years, but this one is, without doubt, one of the best couples in B-town and a true ‘power couple’!

Their whole story is nothing short of a fairytale and a really beautiful one at that. Legend has it that if you google #CoupleGoals, you will get a picture of Riteish and Genelia!
9 years of friendship and courtship, 7 years of peaceful married life and never a shred of controversy, the words ‘Soul mates’ really holds true in their case.
