Not pout, Karan Johar finds a smirk-faced Madame Tussauds wax statue
Filmmaker Karan Johar unveiled his Madame Tussauds wax statue in Singapore today morning. He was accompanied by his mother Hiroo Johar. Karan Johar is the first filmmaker to achieve this feat. Photos of him unveiling the statue along with his mother have made rounds of the internet.
The wax statue, like you could already guess, has the filmmaker taking selfies. This time howeverKaran Johar‘s famous pout was missing. Since the filmmaker has replaced his pout with a smirk-face, the wax statue also portrayed that expression. KJo also went on to pose with the same face besides his wax statue.
Karan Johar had earlier informed that the unveiling would be live streamed from Sentosa. “Join me for the unveiling of my Wax Figure! It’s the Ultimate Film Star Experience. Only two more days to go, unveiling on April 4. Follow @mtssingapore for the live streaming, starts 10am SGT,” he tweeted. The photo attached with the tweet also saw Karan Johar’s autobiography, ‘An Unsuitable Boy’, lying on the table.
The official Instagram account of Madame Tussauds, Singapore had also posted, “Not a fan of coffee? But not with Karan Johar’s Koffee because he will definitely brew to perfection! Join us at the opening of Ultimate Film Star experience on April 4.”
Post achieving huge success in ‘Baahubali’, the producer now has big and interesting projects lined up ahead of him. Karan produced Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Simmba’ last year and will also back Akshay Kumarstarrer ‘Sooryavanshi‘, which is also part of Rohit Shetty‘s cop franchise. He also produced the recent release ‘Kesari’, upcoming release ‘Kalank‘, and ‘Student Of The Year 2‘. Johar will also get back to direction after three years for ‘Takht‘. The epic drama stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
