Odisha Forest Officials rescued 12-feet-long Python from a village in Balasore
On last Sunday the local people of a small village called Mirgini spotted a python crossing a road at late night. The villagers immediately informed the Snake Helpline to rescue the 12-feet-long reptile.
The snake helpline members reached and saved the 24 kg python and later it was handed over to the Forest Department officials. It has been reported that the python was released into the forest of Kuldiha, in Balasore.
Mirgini is a small village in the Nilagiri locality, situated 18 kilometer towards west from District Headquarters of Balasore. Kuldiha forest is primarily known for Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary, which is spanned across Chota Nagpur Plateau region and linked with Simlipal National Park via the Sukhupada and Nato hill ranges.
