Prime minister designate Narendra Modi today visted Gujarat on his two day thanks giving tour after his landslide victory in the general elections gaining 353 seats and badly defeating Congress reducing it to mere 52 seats. Narendra Modi is to be sworn in as the prime minister of the country for the second consecutive term after his historic victory in 2014 as well.

The BJP supremo Amit Shah accompanied Modi to Gujarat on a two day whirlwind tour. After addressing a public meeting after landing at Ahmedabad airport both prime minister designate Narendra Modi and Amit Shah addressed a thanks giving rally n from there proceeded towards his mother’s house where PM Modi sought her blessings and confabulated with her n other family members for sometime. His mother blessed Modi n prayed for his everlasting success. Both Modi n Shah also paid floral tributes to Sadar Patel at his statue.

All the thanks giving programmes n rallies perhaps have been cancelled due to the devastating tragedy at Surat where 22 students of a coaching centre died due to a highly devastating fire in a four storeyed building running a coaching centre on the fourth floor.

The state chief minister has announced a financial compensation of merely Rs. 4 Lakh each to the bereaved families of the deads. May be the prime minister would announce more financial assistence to the traumatic families as the present financial compensation is being considered as a tip of an ice berg.

It is learnt that the prime minister Narendra Modi may address few rallies n meetings in various parts of Gujarat in order to extend his gratitude to the electorates of Gujarat where the BJP won all the 26 seats and earlier ruled by him for 15 consecutive years till 2014, before becoming the prime minister of the country.
