After the resignation of Nehru family scion Rahul Gandhi from the top slot of the Congress party, while there are hectic activities in process, regarding the appointment of the new incumbent who’ll lead the 134-year-old party from the front as its powerful president, Rahul Gandhi’s sister and general secretary of the Congress Priyanka Gandhi is busy expressing her concern and regret about the sorry state of affairs in the government hospitals of Uttar Pradesh in various district hospitals.
Since becoming the general secretary of the party Priyanka Gandhi, despite her husband Robert Vadra’s investigations in the Enforcement Directorate, had been least worried about the alleged family victimisation but kept herself extremely busy and entangled in the entire election campaigning in the general elections in UP as well as in other parts of the country compounded with her active involvement in the social media and her twitter handle as well, highlighting each and every discrepancy of the BJP government at the centre as well as Uttar Pradesh thus inviting people’s attention on several pivotal issues of Uttar Pradesh and the national significance.
As a sequel to her ongoing tweets, she tweeted at 6.30 PM today expressing her serious concern and regret over the false assurances and promises of Uttar Pradesh government in the context of improving health services in the largest state of the country resulting in immense hardships and sufferings of the poor patients.
Along with her tweet in Hindi, she also posted a poster highlighting the non availability of power in the government hospitals of Etawa and Lalitpur where the doctors were constrained to operate the patients of critical illnesses using the torch and mobile phone lights.
Shameful.
On her twitter handle furious and seriously concerned general secretary, Incharge Eastern Uttar Pradesh , Priyanka Gandhi tweeted in hindi : Uttar Pradesh ki Bhajapa sarkar ke jhoote daavon ka meter chaalu hai, lekin aspataalon mein batti gul hai. Mareezon ka ilaaj kahin mobile jalakar to kahin torch jalaakar ho raha hai. Is lachar vyavastha se kya nizaat milegi ?
The meter of false promises of the Uttar Pradesh government is moving fast but in hospitals, the lights are off. The treatment/ surgery of the patients is being conducted, using the mobile phone’ lights or torches.
Will we get relief from this awful system?
It may be recalled that in the majority of the government hospitals in Uttar Pradesh there is a complete absence of proper hygiene, healthy food, medicines, medical equipment, and even doctors, resulting in several casualties of poor patients despite the government’s claim of improvisation in medical care and health sector.
Last year several children had died in a district hospital of Uttar Pradesh for want of oxygen to the ailing children suffering from critical ailments creating a lot of sensitivity and sham in the national media.
Similarly, in Muzaffarpur Bihar and in other areas of this state about 150 children had recently died of encephalitis inviting the wrath of the poor and hapless parents of the deceased parents and tremendous media hype all over the country.
The matter was also raised in parliament exposing the Nitish Kumar and BJP combine government of Bihar. What’s your take friends?
